We went there after telling ourselves for a long time” one day”
Met with our friends for dinner there on now two occasions.
The service stands out. Young man who’s been our server on both occasions is phenomenal. Friendly, spot on and relaxed. You get the feeling, he actually likes his work. It reflects.
The food is wonderful for my taste buds. I had the Taco Salad and I had it again the second go around.
It is fresh, delicious and filling.
Pricing including alcohol are very reasonable and the atmosphere is light and colorful.
You have found a customer for years to come. Keep up the great service and dont change a thing, please.

We went for lunch. Food took forever then it was cold. We’ve been numerous times before and every time it gets a little longer wait and lower food quality. The mango salsa was so spicy the day we went it, it was inedible. This coming from a family member that loves all things spicy. We’ve had it many times before. Putting everyone in the bar area during lunch is a nightmare. The ceilings are so low the noise echoes. There were several kids in one group that kept screaming. Had we been seated upstairs you wouldn’t have noticed as much. We had children with us and they remained quiet and respectful. You can’t have screaming in that small bar area. Worst visit we’ve ever had. My mother loved going there. Now, she’s saying that was her last trip. Make an announcement if you ever decide to start serving lunch upstairs again. We miss the original Holy Taco.

The heat was actually on this time. This place like to cut corners. Showed up to a better downstairs bar area, more T.V.’s etc.. & Heat this time. Really Like the changes they have made. Not completely Authentic but do have pretty Authentic Tamales if you want to get some to go. The Quesodilla are thin not much steak in em. Went on Sunday had $1.50 Busch and $2.50 Domestics. Also my Beans did not come on a skillet as advertised and they weren’t plentiful. Between that, no heat last time, and thin Quesodillas like to cut corners.

Fun place. We ate outside on the back porch. It seemed like you were in a different place. I had the choice of 3 tacos. I had the shrimp, the mushroom and the teriyaki I think. All were flavorful and good. They were room temp, but still very good. We order the chips and queso. It was very good with a little chorizo put in it. The chips were room temp. But that’s ok. I do love at least warm from a heating drawer or a heat lamp. The 3 tacos came with rice and beans. Rice was the usual Tex mex rice. Nothing unusual. The beans had tremendous potential. I think that has sat in the steam table too long. They were dried out. Nothing a little stock mixed in wouldn’t help. Now. Both the beans and the rice were room temp. As was all the food: the waitress said sorry for the wait. It took, probably 30 minutes to get our food, she said she had a 8 top. My guess is the kitchen scooped the rice and beans onto the plate and they sat there a while. They were definitely not hot. I’ll give them the benefit . It wasn’t busy at all though. It was a Wednesday evening. No one upstairs, maybe 3 people at the bar, then maybe 4-5 tables inside . And we were the sole outside diners . It’s a great place and we’ll definitely go back. Those tacos are full of flavor and amazing.

Fantastic experience! Now, to my knowledge, there are two Holy Tacos. Boone’s Creek and Downtown Johnson City. I used to frequent downtown quite often! Now I recommend Boone’s Creek over JC. Boones Creek location is in, what looks like, a brand new 3 story house. It’s specious, clean, and has a great atmosphere. Most importantly, EASY parking. Unlike downtown location you don’t have to park in the parking lot almost a block over and walk. Nice new parking lot around the entire location. Long draft beer list, fresh food, great service, and attentive staff! I got the chorizo beef quesadilla and my wife got the taquitos (recommended by the server) great food! Rice, chips, shrimp, queso, salsa, it’s all great! Homemade spicy sauce. 5 stars, highly recommend!

I threw my son’s 1st birthday party at Holy Taco and Cantina Boones Creek, and it was absolutely amazing! The manager Paul was super helpful, he was checking in on us every 15 minutes or so to ensure we didn’t need anything. Paul and another worker set up the taco buffet table all on their own. We had the party in the beer garden, and it was perfect! Everyone was so impressed with the restaurant, the food, and Paul’s helpfulness! This is the right place to have a party, or just to go out to eat! Their tacos were delicious! It was truly an honor to have my son‘s first birthday party here, and we will certainly be back!

Today I went to holy taco Cantina in Boones Creek. I’ve been here several times before that’s why I’ve chose to return because anytime before today. It was great. Today our waiter seemed like we were bother. I had to take my own cups into the restaurant part just to get our refills we asked for to go cups when it was time to leave and that seemed like it was too much of a task. In mind when we got there, we waited a good 20 to 25 minutes before we were even brought a menu or asked what our drinks were to be. Don’t think I will revisit.

Walked in to have lunch today and we could not find a single employee upstairs or downstairs. Bathroom smelled like a porta potty. Entire place smells like rotting wood. Finally found one employee doing an interview and he ignored us. We waited to be acknowledged but left due to terrible customer service.
