This place is really cool. The decorations and ambience is really laid back, vibrant and chill. The bartender was really good and friendly. Drinks were good too. Definitely try there in house beers. I really liked the “Hefe” beer. Unfortunately the wait for the food and the quality of the food was not so great. We ordered coconut shrimp for an appetizer and it took over 30 minutes to get. For some reason they serve their coconut shrimp with cocktail sauce which was really odd to me. It’s usually a pineapple or sweet and sour sauce. Then their Po boy sandwich was very bland and the shrimp had their tails on which again not normal for a real Po boy sandwich. I would not recommend eating here but for drinks and watching karaoke I do recommend this place. If they improve their kitchen service and menu, they could easily be five stars.

A nice Florida night, live music, cold micro brews and a super fun server, what is not to like? Holy Mackerel has a large and upbeat interior with some great outside seating. They make their own brews and offer BBQ.

Unfortunately, the night I went there was an operational meltdown. The first brew I ordered -they were out. Then the first side I ordered -they were out. Apparently they were also low on water because I had to ask three different staff before I received one. Then there was the wait for food. Mind you this was not a crowded time. I sipped through the two beers waiting. The server indicated that mine was on the way. I waited and waited and considered just leaving. A nearby table waited and waited to pay their check and walked in the restaurant to get it done. Nothing seemed to be working properly.

I ordered BBQ tips and received chopped meat that was not a tip. The collard greens were overcooked and the grilled corn must have sat too long or was overcooked. However, the mini corn breads were delightful.

The server did comp one of my beers after she said she “battled” with the manager. I only thought “Holy … Mackerel!!”

Always a GREAT time on Sunday drag brunch.

Today, what I ate was not important (skillet breakfast), but oh lord, the atmosphere you cannot, cannot get anywhere else other than Holy Holy Mackerel @Wilton Manor. Thank you Nick and management for hosting our Meetup group, not just this Sunday, but all the other events, karaoke

This establishment is like a warm blanket, a roaring fire on a Winter night. Its just comfortable. To go to Holy, you better be comfortable in your skin. Those girls will give you a run for your gender.

Get singles, and have fun for the 12:30 or 1:30 drag brinh shows.

Been here before, they used to have smoked chicken and a bunch of other tasty dishes. They got rid of the brisket and the smoke chicken! First thing I noticed was the overuse of Mac and Cheese on many dishes… I figured well, since they use it so much it must be fresh and/or a staple. I ordered the buffalo Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was stale. They topped it with Mozzarella that wasn’t even melted. I ordered the cornbread, it was greasy and the flavor was off….. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken, this one was delicious…. The fries were ok. Overall, this place has really gone downhill fast!! I hope they make a turnaround. The place was dead for a Thursday night.

I was excited about checking this place out as I’ve enjoyed Holy Mackerel beers in the past. They did not disappoint! There were so many options on the beer menu and the three of us all had different beers that we all absolutely loved. We were a little bit hungry so we decided to order a pretzel to go along with our beers. Holy cow that pretzel was huge and worth every penny. It was absolutely delicious. We spent some time talking to the owner and he’s a terrific guy. Plus our service was top notch. Love the overall atmosphere of the place. We will definitely be back!

First, Holy Mackerel is not a brewery despite the equipment and the name. Second, it doesn’t matter because my guest and I had a great time there on Saturday night. They had live music (Goo Goo Dolls cover band), great service (thanks Gabriel L.), and good food (Beef Brisket Sandwich, Potato Skins, Cornbread, Sliders). Thoroughly enjoyable evening. All servers and staff wore masks. Will return.

Saw an Instagram post for their all you can eat snow crab legs and thought we’d give it a try. It did not disappoint. They were delicious. Did I mention how amazing the old bay spice was on them? Soooooooo good.

We went an embarrassing 4 rounds of crab legs .

Nick was our waiter and he was really amazing. He kept putting in orders before we even knew we wanted them. Also, it was happy hour- two for one drinks. #GLUTTONY #DELICIOUS

Craving for bbq ribs and Pulled Pork we encountered this restaurant.
It’s located at little north of Wilton Manors, easy parking available and plenty seating available outside too.

The meats were fantastic, great portions and tasty flavor. My favorite was the bbq pork but all the meats were very tender and plentiful of delicious flavor.

For the side orders the grilled corn was really good and although I really don’t care for the Mac cheese, i did tried it and it was marvelous!

For the craft beers we opted for a flight. All the beers had a very special flavor, I reordered my favorite the Belgian Golden Ale.

Our server was Lily, she was fantastic, very energetic and professional. We had such a great experience provided by everyone there including Silvia and the manager on duty. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable.

Thanks everyone for your hospitality!

Not a big deal!!!
Attended an event for School of Rock here, and honestly was very disappointed.
There were about 150 people here with only 2 servers.
Everyone had to order from the bar, ate last the bartender was nice and polite though he was drowning with dinning rooms orders and bar food orders and drinks of course.
Mac and cheese was good though unfortunately I can’t say the same about burgers. Burgers are simple and tastes bad, not impressed at all.
Again the worst part was not having servers for a restaurant expecting 100 plus customers the restaurant was very unprepared for the event.
Never again!!

Brews & BBQ Holy Mackerel! Nothing better than Southern comfort food & craft brews on a crisp evening. We devoured smoked everything…wings, brisket chicken, mild sausage, pulled pork, beef ribs, philly cheesesteak, grilled chicken sandwich & ohhhh the sides…brussels sprouts, mac ‘n cheese, pulled pork & beans, hand cut fries & mini cornbread. Thank you Frank Ba for the recommendation, Tigerlilly for the friendly service & team for feeding our souls.
