I just tried this place for the first time and loved it! The fish and chips and lobster roll were delicious. I was really happy with the portion size for the fish. I chose to get the salt and vinegar fries, which I highly recommend. The staff were super friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the experience even better. I will definitely be back 🙂

Amazing place!! It definitely deserves to be a recurring spot for us. Part of me hopes it gets all the recognition it deserves, and part of me selfishly wants to keep it as a hidden gem. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the whole space gives off such a warm neighborhood restaurant vibe. The food is delicious and tastes so fresh. Highly recommend!

Everything was incredible. I’m usually not the biggest lobster or oyster fan, but WOW — hands down the best seafood I’ve ever had. Every bite tasted like it came straight off the boat.
I can’t recommend this place enough. If you want the real deal and not that frozen nonsense, get in your car and head there ASAP.

Cozy spot, fresh and quality seafood, no fuss. The hot lobster roll melts in your mouth, and the clam roll is just as amazing. Don’t skip the sea-salted fries, they’re a must! One small note: the bun can get soggy quickly. Super friendly staff, and the space is tiny but perfect: 9 counter seats plus a large table for a bigger group. Definitely a new go-to!

Seriously, there is no reason you shouldn’t go to this place. The food is absolutely phenomenal from the lobster roll where they make their own lobster bisque and reduce it down for hours and use it like other places use butter on the bun, to the oyster roll to the impeccably crispy & perfectly fried fries to the wonderful crudo; it’s all great.
The people behind the counter are super helpful and it’s clearly evident that the really care and are amazingly knowledgeable about their food and their customers.

A much needed “breath” of fresh seafood in the Allston food scene. Love this place with the casual setting and a very attentive service – it really feels like a neighborhood spot! Kudos to those guys.
Food: been there twice and tried most of the menu plus some specials. Everything was so rich and prepared with such attention to detail, you could really say you’re getting a Michelin-style dish, but without all the fuss. Highly recommend trying the wonderful crudo, as well as any specials they might serve off the Menu.
Service: it’s a fast casual spot, yet the guys are so welcoming and genuinely curious in your opinions about the food, you will end up wanting to come back. I know I do!
Atmosphere: I must admit, the one thing I don’t really enjoy is the choice to have one big table and a few bar seats, but with such limited space choices had to be made.

What a delightful spot in the neighborhood. We ordered the crudo, clam chowder, shrimp roll(not pictured because we ate it too fast), and a side of fries. Everything was phenomenal and the service was lovely. Aside from the fab seafood, these are the best fries I’ve tried in a long time! Will return soon

Holdfast was an incredible experience, the lobster roll was unbelievably fresh and buttery to perfection. The fries were out of this world, excellently seasoned with a uniquely delicious dipping sauce. And the service was phenomenal, personal and warm with great recommendations. I will absolutely be coming back!
