Hurricane Shutters Brevard County

Absolutely phenomenal! Hola Cuban Kitchen is a hidden gem in Merritt Island. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly service and the mouthwatering aroma of authentic Cuban cuisine.

The food is incredible — flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with love. The Cuban sandwich is hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had, and the ropa vieja was tender and perfectly seasoned. Don’t skip the yuca fries or the café con leche — both are amazing!

Whether you’re local or just passing through, this place is a must-try. The cozy atmosphere, generous portions, and genuine hospitality make Hola Cuban Kitchen a standout. Can’t wait to come back!

As a Cuban I can tell you that the food is authentic and very well done! The churrasco was excellent. It was cooked to the right temperature and was tender. I have also had the vaca frita which was also very good. I also asked for them to change my rice to congris, and had no issues having that changed. The location is very nice and has indoor and outdoor seating areas. The outdoor area is very nice, and they do have heaters for nights that get chilly. I would definitely recommend coming here, and my wife an I will definitely be back!

First time visiting this Cuban Restaurant. I was hesitant at first but gave in and checked it out. I am glad we did! Wow I have to say I usually am not a fan of Cuban food and tried what I know and that was the Cuban Sandwich and it was Amazing! The atmosphere really inviting and outside there is a patio area you can eat, drink and listen to music. The staff were really friendly and helpful in figuring out the menu. We will definitely be back and was really good.

Genuinely one of the most nice restaurants I’ve ever been to, compared to things like the cheesecake, factory and steakhouses, I’ve never felt more welcome in a restaurant. Eating the food I felt like 1 million bucks and when the business owners and chefs personally come out to meet you. It makes you feel extremely important. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this restaurant was one of my best experiences with food establishmentS.

This place is amazing, three of us ladies went there Thursday and I tell you, we had an amazing experience, the food, the service, the atmosphere was excellent. Our server name was Seven, oh my he is so professional and very friendly, made us feel right at home, even though we sat inside, the outside garden area is very inviting. I love all the snake plants there, have to speak with the owner next time about them. We’re definitely planning on going again and again, we all had a chicken dish, with rice and black beans and plantains. My plate speaks for how delicious the food was. Don’t take my word for it, give Hola a try, you’ll love it. Hola you’re amazing

What a wonderful place! By far it has the best outdoor seating area in Brevard. Beautiful. Lexi was amazing! We had 2 apps and an entree and everything was perfect. The Guava Mojito (recommended by Lexi) is a new favorite. We will be back at least 2-3 times a month from now on. Please try this excellent restaurant.

We went to Hola Cuban Kitchen on Friday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was such a wonderful experience! Our waiter was awesome! We got a chance to meet the owners Alberto, and Biviana. They made the evening so special. The ambience was great, the food was delicious, and the drinks were amazing! They even surprised us with a beautiful dessert to celebrate. We’re new to the island and so happy to have found this gem. We can’t wait to come back with the family. If you’re craving authentic Cuban food, this is the place to go!

If you’re looking for an authentic Cuban experience that goes way beyond just good food, Hola! Cuban Kitchen is the place to be. I’ve eaten at several Cuban spots across Florida, but this one honestly stands out for how genuine and heartfelt the entire experience feels.

I ordered the Bistec de Palomilla and Flan de Queso, and both dishes were flawless. The steak was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy — the kind of flavor that reminds you of homemade Cuban cooking. Portions were generous (more than enough for one person), and the temperature was right on point — not lukewarm like you get in some places, but hot and fresh from the kitchen. The presentation was so clean and refined, it could easily pass for something out of a Michelin-rated restaurant.

The service, though, is what truly makes Hola! Cuban Kitchen special. The staff treats you like family — they literally introduce you to everyone, and you can tell their warmth comes from the heart, not just training. Hospitality like that is rare these days.

The atmosphere ties it all together. Cozy lighting, outdoor seating cooled by fans, and Cuban music floating through the air — it’s the kind of environment that slows you down and makes you enjoy your meal. My Cuban dad even said he felt like he was back in the good old days of Cuba, which says a lot about how authentic the vibe is.

Prices are fair — especially considering the quality and service. I’ve paid more for far less in other “Cuban-style” restaurants that couldn’t compare.

Overall, Hola! Cuban Kitchen delivers everything a true Cuban restaurant should: flavor, hospitality, and heart. Five stars without hesitation.

Location: Super cute spot, and the interior is very clean — though there was a strong sewer smell outside, which was off-putting.

Cleanliness: Very good inside.
Service: A bit slow to start, but once our server took the drink order, everything flowed smoothly. Service overall was attentive and responsive — great job there.

Food:
We started with the Hola! Sampler, which came with two empanadas, four shrimp, three croquetas, and a Cuban tamale. The complimentary mariquitas (fried plantain chips) with garlic aioli were delicious — honestly, they were the highlight of the meal.

My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich — it was slim and underwhelming; we’ve definitely had better elsewhere. I initially had the Bistec Empanizado, which was soaked in grease and flavorless. The arroz congri was cold and dry. I shared my feedback with our waitress, and she immediately brought it to the manager’s attention. I was offered a replacement dish and chose the Masitas de Puerco. That had much better flavor, though the pork was still a bit dry. Rice and beans were good.

One thing I did notice — not much Spanish was being spoken by the staff, which made me question the authenticity a bit.

Overall:

The location and service were strong, but the food didn’t quite deliver. The mariquitas were fantastic, but everything else fell flat. We likely won’t return, but I encourage others to try for themselves — maybe your experience will be different!
