Great food, I like the concept of dividing the menu by country. We all had a different country for dinner and each dish was full of flavor and different. We started with egg rolls, potstickers and a sushi roll. The serving sizes were perfect.
Rena our server was fantastic! Super friendly, very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. She was able to describe the entrees and help us make decisions.
All in all it was a nice find would highly recommend if you’re looking for Asian but can’t decide what kind because there’s a taste for everyone.

I visited Hoikima for the first time this past Saturday afternoon. I’d like to start off by saying that the restaurant has a great look on the inside. My boyfriend and I go to Thai restaurants often and have tried Pad Thai and Pad See Ew from several different places. We understand that everyone has a different take on the dish, so they will never taste the same. Both dishes arrived to the table with a very unappetizing gray-ish appearance. My boyfriend asked to have extra vegetables with his Pad See Ew instead of meat or tofu and there was probably a total of 4 pieces of broccoli (which the dish already comes with) on the plate. It was also very bland. My Pad Thai had discolored bean sprouts (which already worried me due to food borne illness concerns with this type of sprout). I bit into a piece of chicken and was surprised with how tender it was. I cut into a larger piece and noticed that it was raw. I told the server who immediately took the plate away and said she would have another one made. I would have much rather had the meal taken off the check because I have had food poisoning before from another restaurant and really didn’t want to get it again. Once the replacement dish arrived, I took a few bites and got a to-go box. My boyfriend and I added some ingredients to both of our dishes last night to make them more flavorful.
Pros:
*The server had the meal remade.
*The crab rangoons and Thai iced tea were tasty (the server made me another one free of charge for the inconvenience).
*Clean/modern dining room
Cons:
*The raw chicken. I felt like the server should have brought the piece of chicken to the kitchen and explained the severity of the situation (I believe she just threw it away).
*The noodle dishes need some serious attention. They definitely needed more flavor and possibly more vegetable options as well.
I listed both pros and cons because I REALLY want this restaurant to improve and succeed. I also want to mention that I did NOT get sick from this restaurant.

I’m not the guy who writes reviews but this place was amazing! My taste buds experienced new flavors for the first time. We ate way too much but we kept ordering more and more just to taste what the chef was going to do with the dish. I highly recommend this place. Atmosphere is great as well. I’m very happy this place is in my backyard.

Really liked our experience here! The food I ordered (Hoikima Noodle Bowl) was very light. My father ordered a Pad Thai which he liked. The Philly Rolls were absolutely amazing as was the house siracha! At first, service was a little slow but as more people kept coming in (and boy did they keep coming), the pace picked up as did the waitress’ confidence. Definitely coming back….ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

Found this place driving by. Clean and new restaurant. Well designed. Food was ok. Not the best, not the worst. Teriyaki sauce was more bitter then sweet. Wide egg noodles were not the best. I like that they have Diet Coke over Diet Pepsi. Place was empty. I hope they can stay in business. I wish them well. Food quality needs to step up a bit.

Excellent food, nice clean place. I thought the price was very good. We were offered to try the iced coffee, and we will order that when we come back. The owner came up and asked our thoughts on the place as well (since they have been open for only two weeks). Very friendly, and we will definitely be back!

I have given this place two chances, last experience was so bad, will not be back. We waited over an 90 minutes for our food, then decided to leave as we were starving. My husband never got his food (was given to another table that did not even order that type if Sushi, but they took it anyway? ?), then they got my shrimp Pad Tai for me to bring home, worst pad tai ever. Not sure if they did something to it, but tasted old and I threw it away. We left them 20 anyway, but all we had was 1 beer, a pop, egg rolls(which were very greasy), and a cup ofsweet and sour soup. Soup tasted like water with celery. I hate to be so negative but hoping our waitress will learn from this mistake. While we will not return, I wish this restaurant the best of luck. but

Completely disregard the 3 star guy. I’ve tried sushi from Milwaukee to Chicago and even LA and let me tell you good sushi does not come cheap. This place is great and the food was very refreshing. I got the Nirvana roll that came with a very delicious wasabi mayo
