Came for the legendary view. Stayed for the mystery of how BBQ takes 45 minutes.
Let’s start with the positives, because there’s really only one: the view is spectacular. Truly. Five stars for the scenery. Unfortunately, the food and service seem to believe the view is doing all the work.
BBQ, by definition, is slow-cooked ahead of time. That’s kind of its whole thing. So when ribs and pulled chicken takes 45 minutes to produce, you start to wonder if the chicken and pigs are still out back negotiating its life choices.
When the food finally arrived, it was… bleak. The BBQ chicken sandwich contained maybe 2 ounces of chicken, generously speaking. Less “sandwich,” more “breadcrumb with aspirations.” The meat itself tasted like low-grade dog food that had once been introduced to a bottle of BBQ sauce from across the room.
Service? Indifferent at best. Nobody seemed remotely concerned that guests were waiting forever, or that what eventually arrived was borderline insulting. There’s a difference between “island time” and “we genuinely don’t care,” and this was firmly the latter.
This place could be great. The setting practically guarantees it. But right now it feels like they’re relying entirely on the view and forgetting the small details—like serving edible food and giving a damn about the people sitting at the tables.
Do better. Care more. The view deserves it.

Might be one of the coolest views and nicest vibes anywhere in the islands. The owner is a wonder and she has been running it since 2011ish. She must have been 10 when she started. Worth your time to visit and stay for a spell.

We’ve been coming here to VG for 9+ years. The trip isn’t complete without a visit to this place. Great views, great food, great staff. There is a no picture op since the last time we were here. Ribs are there is also a covered, enclosed dining room if you need a break from mosquitos or if it’s raining. Bushwhacker is yummy !

We came late in the evening all the way from Spanish town and they took pity on us and stayed open late so we could eat. Worth the drive! Amazing ribs and service! I didn’t think I could eat so much but wow we all cleared our plates!
Not to be missed if you’re visiting Virgin Gorda!!

The best barbecue in the world is at the top of the mountain in Virgin Gorda. They serve the most scrumptious, pull-off-the-bone meats – with a sauce to die for. We shared the pork ribs and barbecue chicken. Both were equally delicious! For sides, we loved the plantains and potato salad. Prices are average, but the views and great service make it worth every penny. We cannot wait for the day we return.
My only recommendation – bottle up that mouth-watering sauce and ship it worldwide!

There isn’t a better rack of ribs or views in all of BVI. Do not miss this place.

Got a pulled pork sandwich and fries, that turned out to be a bbq sauce sandwich (very little actual pulled pork). The BBQ sauce went well with the fries, but wasn’t what I expected. Unfortunately I got it to go so had no recourse except to vent here.
Really great view though.

We heard this was the place to come for a view and great food. Great lunch spot! Sweet Ice Willie drove us here, the food, service, and view was perfection! Pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, and cocktails are all highly recommended!

Best view in BVI. Fantastic food, as well. Not gonna lie…the pulled pork sandwich was just above average – very heavily sauced. But, the fried chicken? That was the crispiest fried chicken I’ve ever had and still juicy inside. Though I didn’t try them, several in our group raved about the ribs. That is also what many of the locals swore by. Great, chill, island vibe. Definitely worth the trip.
