Ordered a regular cheesesteak – ribeye, grilled onion and provolone (didn’t want cheese wiz today). The atmosphere is relaxed, but the actual cheesesteak had no flavor. The steak didn’t taste like anything, quite unseasoned. The grilled onions were muted in terms of flavor, and in general my sub was dry.

Took my mom out for a quick dinner after work and we both got steak sandwiches. They lacked seasoning so nothing to really say about them. I could barely taste the onions on mine but the banana peppers added a decent touch. I had cheez whiz and American on mine and she had American and Provolone. Onion rings came out luke warm but tasted okay. The bacon and cheese fries were flavorless and needed seasoning as well. This is my second time coming and I’m left unimpressed again. Workers were really nice. Decent atmosphere. If you so happen to be around here it might be worth it but definitely don’t go out the way for it.

The Philly was made “all the way,” which basically meant it was meat on bread with a little cheese and a few onions. It wasn’t my favorite. However, it was better than subway.

Incredible! I made this place my last meal before jaw surgery and it did not disappoint. Easily the best cheese steaks in Indiana. One of the rare places that actually does whiz wit. Great beer too!

Boy did the Internet do a good job of tricking me. Photos all look amazing, I mean absolutely delicious. I made up my mind, we’re going to try Hoagies and Hops TODAY! Made the 40 drive, with my family, plenty of people sitting outside eating, others pouring out the door upon our arrival, good sign? Should have been. Fast-forward to ordering. The idea was that my daughter and I were going to share a Philly but after seeing the small and regular bread on display, I wasn’t sure sure regular was going to cut it but I also know $24 for a whole wasn’t an option, sheesh. We ordered Philly Hoagie and the Hog Island Italian but regular in size with an order of cheese fries. The cheese fries were good, thank goodness because the Philly (1) had more lettuce onions etc than meat which tells me next time just get the Philly, they’ll have no choice but to give you more meat. As you notice on the photo, you can’t tell which is the Philly and which is the Italian. The meat has no seasoning, even a little salt would have helped in my opinion, the bread was soft and lovely. I had to dunk in the ketchup and cheese on the fries to enjoy it. The Italian was dry as well, no mayo? I know it was too have an oil of some sort but not sure if it was on there either. Oh well, guess i can say I tried them. No revisit need.

I feel like I deserve a refund. After 30 minutes of waiting I went up to the counter and saw my sandwhich sitting there in the back. Its cold and has hardly any meat on it. When I ask for the sandwhich the guy in the back started whipping up some fries. The beer cheese fries arent good either. The cheese is dark orange and tastes burnt. I used to love this place now I’m not sure I want to come back. When my food was done they should have come and found me when I didnt come up there. I ate it anyway cause I was starving.

This place !!!! We enjoyed this location even more than Virginia Ave. The owner was there working and instantly acknowledged us as we talked w her at the other location (which is now permanently closed due to staffing and just general area issues.) This location has alot more options as far as the food and extras. The owner is as much a reason to go as the great sandwiches she serves up!! I got the original cheesesteak with white American and extra provolone. I got the small and could only finish half. My boyfriend got the cold cut and says it’s the best in the city. He got the large and it was huge ! This ia a place we continue to frequent!

Ordered carryout at the counter. Opened the bag in the car right away to eat. The fries were cold and soggy. The meat on the cheesesteak sandwiches had zero flavor, it was honestly shocking. For the price we expected more after driving 30 minutes to visit.

Best place I’ve found in Indy for authentic Philly steaks. Be prepared to wait a few minutes for your food, but it’s absolutely worth it. A lot less time and a lot cheaper than a plane flight back east!
