Today I stopped by this amazing place, and it was such a fun experience. I’ve never had food like this before.
I tried an unusual taco, and the flavor was incredible. The owner took the time to explain the menu and recommended what to try for a first visit, which made the experience even better.
Loved it. Highly recommended!

The worst tacos I’ve ever had in my life!
We went there around midnight because we were in the area. The presentation in their pictures was good. When we walked in, the cashier and staff were taking pictures without greeting us, so we awkwardly looked at the menu. We had to get their attention after 5 minutes. The music was extremely loud, and the cashier’s accent (no offense) made the ordering process more difficult. We ordered 6 tacos and 2 beverages, totaling $60. I can’t remember exactly what we ordered—something like Texas, Cuba, Quesabirria, and Birria—but everything had hard shells that seemed like fried regular tortillas. Our tacos basically turned into taco salads. The meat was very tough to chew. We ate it only because it was $5.50 per taco.

I visited this local taco spot with an open mind, but given their city-high prices, I expected a lot more. Unfortunately, the tacos didn’t come close to justifying the cost. The mahi mahi taco was especially disappointing—EXTREMELY dry and lacking any sort of moisture or flavor. The tortillas themselves felt mealy and missed the mark on the rich texture and robust flavor you expect from authentic corn tortillas. There are other taco spots at similar price points that blow these away, I can’t stress enough how these tacos had no business being this expensive. The one positive thing I experienced were the sauces that came with the tacos, they were bright and flavorful. I usually wouldn’t judge a low-key taco joint too harshly, but when the prices are on par with the best in the city, the standards naturally rise. Sadly, this place didn’t meet those expectations. Overall, it was a huge miss for the price, and there are definitely better options out there for taco enthusiasts.

Asked for chips and guacamole with my order and got a teeny tiny cup that could’ve used at least a whisper of salt. For the price, I expected more. Also, it took reminding them twice about it not coming out with my order. The Al Pastor would make my Mexican father roll in his grave. I’ve had the privilege of eating true Al pastor in Mexico City and I understand that this is NYC but there’s no excuse for burning pork like that. Apologize to the poor swine that gave his life for that. The carne asada on the other hand was good. Unfortunately, wrapped in marginally acceptable tortillas. The fish taco was the best part of the meal along with the delicious horchata and somewhat ok Jamaica waters. If I ever come here again, I’ll only have fish tacos. Real name of the place is Planet Taco.

We were in town visiting family and stopped here since it was only a block away on foot. The staff was friendly and the food was prepared quickly and fresh.
The food was amazing. Wide selection of interesting takes on tacos. My favorite was the Philly cheesesteak taco. The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned well.

Late night walk in the city. Cool atmosphere, very friendly, very fast, everything was freshly made even the tortillas, My hubby tried 3 tacos Chorizo, Al Pastor, Carna Asada, I chose Carna Asada Nacho’s we also tried different salsas they were all great even the scary one lol . We went late they were getting ready to close but they let us stay and eat while they were finishing cleaning up. A little spendy remember this place is by Time Square.

Had an amazing time with friends here, great ambiance for casual dinner out. The frozen margaritas are tasty and quite strong (watch out)! Everyone loved the tacos (special shoutout for the carnitas, so good) – we got the quesobirria, adobo chicken, lime chicken, carnitas, al pastor + probably 10 different house salsas. Desserts here also worth trying: tres leches cake is very moist, and churros just the right amount of crispy. They really nail the textures of their meats, salsas, desserts, all cooked well. Waitstaff and owner are very friendly, we will definitely be back.

Delicious variety of tacos and sauces. Mix and match! To your heart’s content. We enjoyed the interplanetary themed menu and decor. Great prices, staff and overall vibe. Glad to have them move into the neighborhood and will definitely be back to try more options!

The restaurant maintains a steady stream of customers through its doors. I’m utterly impressed by this restaurant! HK Cantina has raised my dining standards. The primary aspect is the employees’ pleasant demeanor. All my friends have never been to this hotel and they absolutely love it and will definitely be returning.
