Most authentic German food outside of Germany! Started with Goulaschsuppe (homemade goulasch soup) and it was just as delicious as my grandmother would make it. My main was the Jägerschnitzel (breaded pork schnitzel) and again just to die for. Of course, my meal was paired with a German Pilsner (yum). I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now and I’m so happy I was finally able to try it. Excited for my next time back eating so amazing food!

Absolutely amazing, the food was perfect and flavorful and a perfect portion size. The beer was fresh and crisp on tap, and I HIGHLY recommend the Jaegerschnitzel. Barbara has such a great personality and Mr Weyer is an incredible chef. If you’re passing through Ft Myers DO NOT IGNORE this little hole in the wall style restaurant, you will very much enjoy your meal and your time here.

Amazing authentic German food! Tiny place and must have reservations. Huge portions. We had the Jaegerschnitzel – sooo good! The red cabbage and German potato salad were wonderful. You must try the cheese strudel – heavenly!!

Fantastic place. I recommend the Wiener schnitzel. All schnitzels are always very good, very fresh. Minutes after placing the order you can hear Hans getting to work on your schnitzels. German beer on tap. We liked the cheese strudel as well.

Delicious and authentic German food. My spouse got the pork roast with beer gravy. I got the bratwurst on a pretzel bun with sauerkraut and German potato salad on the side. Amazing! Good service and clean surroundings.

Great meal today at HJ German Corner! Lots of selections of traditional German food. Tastes like the best home cooking! Barbara and Hans were awesome hosts. Definitely have the cheese strudel. We will be back!

Es ist sehr Schade, dass Deutschland durch solche Restaurant wahrgenommen wird! In der schäbige Kantine in München sieht und schmeckt das Essen 100% besser aus! Ich empfehle den Geschäftsführer einen kurzen Tripp nach Deutschland .

In my opinion, you are not showing respect to your customers when you attract them with a prominently advertised “Germany Corner” but do not serve the food in a way that reflects true German quality.
I understand that American customers may have different expectations. Nevertheless, you have the opportunity to present them with authentic German quality and a higher standard.
Instead, the food is carelessly “thrown” onto the plate — not to mention that it is served on plastic plates.
Why have you adapted so much instead of showcasing genuine quality?

ive been wanting to try this spot for a while. such a cute little place. the timing to receive our food was fast for a fresh handmade meal. waitress was very sweet too. i got the weinerschnitzel and spezi and my husband got the käsespatzel. we got the black forest cake after. super flavorful, i ate the whole plate. amazing atmosphere and decor. we will definitely come back.

Update: 2 years later, still the same wonderfull food prepared with love by Chef Hans! Fantastic Schnitzel and Potato Salad and Red Cabbage!! Get the pretzel with homemade Beer Cheese, served warm, delicious. Best German food in SWFL, great service, and Chef Hans prepares schnitzel to order!!! Veltins on tap! Food made with love, and every bite is heaven. Desserts are fabulous! Every person we bring to the table with us when we visit is a new fan for life. Love the music selection!
