Last minute stop in and waitress informed us of their Prime rib special. We both said absolutely. She was prompt with greeting us, bringing our drinks and food. Everything was Fantastic! I’d give 10 Stars if I could. The Prime rib was superb, cooked to perfection, exactly the way we ordered them.

My girl wanted to try this place. It was closed for a while to revamp i guess. We sat down for over 20 minutes. And were not even offered water. We left only after the waitress took the 3 glasses off of the table right next to us.
We never got offered menus, water, drinks. Nothing.
As we sat and looked at the menu. I can say I wasn’t impressed either. And I have no desire to try again.

Just moved to the Brookfield area about three weeks ago my sister came down from New Hampshire for a visit with not many restaurants to choose from in the area we decided to go here, With my sister and family for dinner for her birthday we were very very impressed. The food was great atmosphere was great. Our waitress was great. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out, but she was great as well. Very impressed.

We sat at the bar and had Shannon and Allie serving us all night. They’re both amazing and super friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing and had such good vibes overall, prices were also really good. 10 out of 10

Horrible takeout experience. Ordered a burger and wanted cheese added. Burgers are supposed to come with lettuce, onion and tomato. The burger we received ONLY had cheese, nothing else! Also, burgers are supposed to come with fries. There were NO fries in the takeout container, only the plain burger. Ordered a shepherds pie and added gravy for an extra dollar, and it did not come with gravy! Asked for a baked potato with cheese on the side and received it without the cheese! Overall: completely plain burger with no fries, missing gravy and missing cheese. Very disappointing, will no go back.

I have to say Hitchcock Tavern consistently makes great food! Not only do they have a great atmosphere and delicious food they are kind and considerate. I had called to get the specials and ended up ordering, I mentioned to the lovely lady on the phone that I was coming from work and I’d be about 45 minutes. I told her so they wouldn’t wonder if I was coming or worry someone ordered but decided not to pick it up. When I got there the lady I had spoken to informed me she had put my order in about 10 minutes ago so it would be hot when I got there. It was a small gesture but it meant a lot. I had worked almost 11 hours, I drove 45 minutes, and now I was able to bring home a hot meal for my family. Just that consideration alone would make me continue to come back. Luckily for us, their food is great too!!
