This place is a disappointment. I had never visited the BBQ joint that was located here before this one popped up a few months ago, but I sure hope it was better than this. My first sign should have been the empty dining room at 12:30PM. I ordered the 3 meat plate which comes with one side. The ribs and brisket were both bland. The brisket was so dry that when pulled apart the individual fibers of meat crumbled from the lack of moisture. The ribs seemed to be a cheap cut and contained much more bone than meat. The ribs were also quite dry. The brisket and ribs had a an overwhelming liquid smoke flavor. The mac and cheese seemed to be lacking cheese and it tasted like uncooked flour with no other prevalent flavor. The jalapeno sausage was the most palatable item that I ordered and it was still either past it’s prime or overcooked. The customer service also left something to be desired, which is consistent with the food.

I ordered a 2-meat plate from here on Doordash, and although the food was good, for $15.99, I got around 3-4 small slices of brisket and around half a sausage worth of sliced sausage. Not a good value.

Great place to stop. The experience starts when you pull up and can smell the smoke!! The cowboy plate was amazing!!! I had brisket, spicy sausage, and ribs, with baked beans. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. Clean atmosphere, from the tables, restrooms and decor. Truly a one of a kind place to visit if you like BBQ. My Wife and I will definitely be back.

It was my first time here and it was absolutely a good choice! Our food was fresh and so delicious! A great atmosphere and such a friendly vibe! I would highly recommend this place for BBQ! The owner who was the one who served us was awesome! He took great interest in his customers and was very appreciative for our business!

I usually find the positive in any situation…a glass half full kinda gal. But this was our first, and likely last visit to Fatwood BBQ. The food was okay, the brisket was tasty but a bit tough to eat with cheap plastic utensils, the rolls were dry. I did like the coleslaw, though the portion was about the size of a condiment container. And if I said I had 2-3oz of meat it is probably a generous statement. The waitress seemed bored, indifferent at best, there was no ice for the drinks and we were pestered by many flies! It was really disappointing for my husband and my “date night.”

Love the beef brisket. Pulled pork? Not so much. The owners are very nice and accommendating. Will give a 5 because this is the first bad experience I have had. The pork had a strong old taste. The Cole slaw was sour. Just won’t order these again.

If I could give less stars I would. I used to love this place but it has really gone downhill. I got about 1/3 of the food I used to get for more money. The brisket was undercooked and mostly fat and the pulled pork literally had no flavor what so ever! And talk about grease…..there waa probably a quarter cup of grease on the bottom of my plastic basket. Not appetizing at all. The mac. &cheese was okay but needed more flavor…..and was only given maybe 2 ounces. Overall extremely disappointed….and sadly will not be going back. Not worth my money.

Such a great, welcoming place to eat. As soon as you walk in the door you can smell the delicious BBQ. The staff is very friendly and knowledge about the product and take the time to explain the menu. If you hungry for BBQ and want to take your family to a great local restaurant this is the place to go!
