I came across this restaurant on TikTok and decided to try it based on the positive exposure. Unfortunately, the meal did not meet expectations for the price. The greens were well-seasoned and the standout item. However, the mac and cheese was quite dry and lacked creaminess.
The main concern was the fried catfish, which had an unusually dense appearance and an off-putting smell, making it difficult to eat. As a result, most of the entrée went uneaten.
For a $25 meal, I expected a higher level of quality and consistency. I’m sharing this feedback respectfully and constructively, in hopes it helps improve future experiences.

(Updated Review Sept. 2025): Stopped by to see what was available, and he hadn’t opened yet. However, the owner let me look at the menu and I ordered the fried catfish with French fries. He told me it would be a 15-20 min. wait time, so it would be fresh. I paid then came back for my order (Hubby wanted something else to eat). My food was piping hot and definitely fresh! The batter was really good, had 2 good sized filets, and was thoroughly cooked. The fries were seasoned perfectly, as well. I felt the price ($15) was reasonable for the portion amount. My only complaint was the “black strip” that comes on the fish if it isn’t removed and makes it taste “muddy & fishy.” Otherwise, the fish was flaky and tasty. I texted the owner that I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the fish due to that part of the fish, and that I’d had to eat it in pieces. He responded to my text, and generously offered to cook me some different ones. However, we were no longer in the area, and was already close to home. But ‘Hit Tha Spot’ has an extensive menu, and the food is Good. So I’ll be back, and will try out 1 of his other delicious offerings!

I received a text earlier today, informing me of the hours and a screenshot of the Cajun Pasta & Lamb Chops dinner (Exactly what I wanted to try). My Hubby was in the area, so I texted my order for him to pick it up. The portion sizes were Great and the food was even Better!! I enjoyed the Cajun Pasta w/Sausage & Spinach, Lamb Chops (3), Hot Honey Drummette Wings (4), Dinner Roll, and Slice of Lemon Cake… everything was Tasty! My only “complaint” would be the ‘thinly sliced Lemon Cake’-it would’ve been nice to have a Full-sized slice. Otherwise, I’ll be going back to try the ‘Cinnamon Roll Bacon Burger’, for sure!

Hearing so many good things about this restaurant, we had high hopes! Unfortunately, we were disappointed. The gentleman that served us, were very kind and polite. One brought our food out to the car when it was ready. We ordered a little bit of everything…fried fish lamb and wings plate, hot honey wings plate with Mac and greens and two sides of wings (strawberry and lemon pepper). For the price, it was not worth it. Glad we got to experience it either way.

The guy serving was really nice but the food is not it. The Cajun pasta was cold and had a weird vinegar taste. The wings tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The lamb chops were tender but not flavorful. The Mac and cheese was okay. Super bummed because I’ve been looking forward to trying it, doesn’t look like the pictures at all.

This place is super sketch, not sure if it’s a real restaurant or just some guy selling food out of a little shack, like does he even have a permit from Tulsa Health Dept?
It’s a small building with no sign to indicate it’s a restaurant and seems like people find it from word of mouth or online.
Prices are absurd, especially for food served in Styrofoam containers, one could have a nice sit down meal at a decent restaurant for less.
I see several five star reviews are from friends & family of the owner which is suspicious.

The five stars is coming from people who have no advance experienced taste buds. The food was not up to par at all lambs chops tender but the flavor was not there. Pasta was a fraud and the wings flew away in the container before seasoning and flavor was added to it. No offense but 5 stars guys be honest.
