I have been coming here since high school and has remained one of my favorites. Any time I am back home in Springfield, I beg my fiancé to come with me to Historic Perk! I LOVE a good cozy atmosphere, which is exactly what this shop delivers:) Choosing to come here instead of a chain is definitely worth the visit. It always feels good to shop small, too, which is a plus!!

*photo below is from 2019 and the coffee is still just as tasty in 2025*

We’ve been coming here since the days when a warm vanilla steamer was the drink of choice for the kids. We’ve since graduated to half-shot vanilla lattes.

Growing up in a small town means connection—friendly faces, familiar conversations, and warm, caffeinated drinks. I’ve always said I couldn’t live in a small town unless it had three things: a good coffee shop, a brewery, and great Asian food—all locally owned.

Springfield has all three, and this coffee shop is a big part of why.

Super solid coffee shop that’s serious about delivering a good cup. The croissant breakfast sandwich is the way to go (I’d say pass on the avocado toast – it seems like the main ingredient is blended and slightly over seasoned. I’d prefer more texture, versus the attempt to make it creamier). Coffee quality is pretty nice. ☕️

Awesome place to get some coffe and breakfast.
We ordered the Cuban, Honey-Cinnamon Latte and a Chicken Salad Sandwich and everything tasted so good!
We love the setup of the store and how clean it is. They have a few tables where you can sit and eat or bring your computer and do some work. The staff is super friendly and they were wearing a mask during crazy times like this.
We will definitely be back…this place is great!

Good coffee. Look like they serve some breakfast sandwiches and had pastries. It wasn’t very warm in there. It was a very cold day.And we were sitting not far the door. They have very high ceilings so may not ever be that warm in that place but it was nice.

I found this place on a visit to Springfield & so happy I did, it is absolutely charming! My Seasonal Latte was delicious, staff & customer service were excellent ( including the hand written note on my coffee sleeve!) This will be regular stop when I’m in town!!

The relaxing and comfortable atmosphere is inviting. The staff is incredibly kind, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The coffee is great rather that be a regular coffee or specialty. The selection of pastries and other goods is superb! I highly recommend stopping by!

One of the best lattes I’ve had. The FLAVOR of the espresso itself was so good. I didn’t know it could have such a depth of flavor. Love that they make their own syrups. I got a peach & caramel latte- highly recommend! I also noticed they use farm fresh milk 10/10
