Very relaxing atmosphere inside and quick service for lunch. The menu was affordable with quality food choices. The salmon was great and the portion sizes very respectable for a lunch order. I will definitely be back.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced Japanese steakhouse you found it. Half of the restaurant is dedicated to sushi the other half hibachi. They seem to be short staffed but the chefs are excellent and personable. The fried rice is fantastic. The restaurant is a typical Japanese steakhouse that does appear a little run down. But every time I have eaten here the food is great.

We haven’t been here in awhile. Tried it New year’s day. All the food was excellent except the fried rice. It had nothing in it but rice. No onions, carrots or other veggies to give it flavor. Our table of 9 had lobster, shrimp, scallops. steak, and chicken. Everything thing else was delicious! Great service and excellent cook.

I frequent this restaurant a lot! This place has great eats with very reasonable prices and great service! The waitress there is always so kind and always smiling! I get their chicken Yaki udon and it’s flavored wonderfully. We always have to get their crab Rangoon’s as well. All their food is very fresh. I highly recommend this place.

Sat at the bar when it was busy on a Saturday night. Ordered steak and chicken but they threw shrimp on top. I didn’t ask for shrimp because I’m allergic. So when I asked them to remake it the chef REFUSED and we sat there for over 30 min under the impression they were working on it. They could have been honest from the beginning but they had us sit there with no communication instead. Won’t be returning!

We were a group of 6 and set at the hibachi. The chef was very skilled and added a bit of humor as he cooked. The food was great and came in big portions. I think all of us had to take some home. We made reservations and had to wait for our entire party before they seated us. There weren’t enough chairs so we had to stand constantly moving to be out of everyone’s way. The bathrooms weren’t kept up on and weren’t cleaned well. The cost was about $32 per person before tip. That’s with no alcoholic beverages and 3 of us only had water. Overall it was a good experience and we will likely go back.

I have been going to Hira’s for years but tonight was a completely different experience. We waited over 30 minutes after being seated and ordering for the chef to come over and start making our food. During this time the staff were mainly standing around not really doing anything. Once our chef came over he was pleasant and our food turned out good. Less than 15 minutes after we got our food the staff was coming over shoving boxes at everyone and telling us they would bring the check. Then our checks were set at the table and they hovered for us to pay. Immediately once we paid they started taking any trash or dishes even while we were still trying to finish our food. My husband didn’t even get to finish his meal because one of the staff members grabbed a plate from the other group that had been sat with us and dumped the leftovers on that plate and the trash and silverware onto his food he was still trying to finish. The staff member didn’t even apologize. We were flustered from how they were acting and while trying to pack up and leave the staff hovered directly next to us. We won’t be coming back after this experience. Also to note no one was waiting in the entryway for a table while we were walking out and it was only 7:30 so no where near closing.

The last time we went we felt sick. They do not properly store the raw fish. It has gone way down hill. If you want to be sick. You go ahead and eat there.

Food was delicious, chef put on a great show and was funny and personable, and it was everything you’d want from a teppanyaki or hibachi place. My only complaint (that I’d give it 4.5 stars for, but I prefer to round up) is that you don’t get both soup AND salad, but honestly, there was enough food not to need both.
I got steak and scallops, which comes with the extra shrimp (SO good that I’d recommend them as a main course even), and they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The rice portion was generous. The veggies were delightful. The onion soup was heavier than I’m used to, but that just meant even more flavor. The gyoza was tasty, too!
This was our 20th anniversary dinner, and I’m so pleased.
