I had the chicken sandwich. It was good, but too light on the veggies. There was hardly any lettuce. My hubby had a burger and was happy with it. We both had fries and they were good. Some of the booths need to be reupholstered, but other than that the environment was nice. They had their Christmas tree up, which gave it a nice holiday charm.

I think I ate the Hawaiian Burger with an extra patty. I don’t remember the exact name of it, but I know it had pineapple. I also ordered what I believe were the buffalo fries on this combo, and it was phenomenal. It’s probably one of the nicest places I’ve eaten a burger meal. The price is reasonable for the wonderful portion of the food. The burger is pretty big, for the size of the patties in it. One of a kind burger spot for how low-key it is. I can’t complain and I’d go again if I’m ever around the area. I didn’t get to do this review right then and there the day I ate it, so that’s the reason I forgot the exact description of what I ordered that day. I guess also because I’m not from the area, I was just passing by so I didn’t decide to do a review that day. I just happen to enjoy doing reviews in places I go eat at. The atmosphere could be a bit better tho, as far as appearance. Maybe add some art on the walls, a couple more sauces on the fables to use. Overall, solid spot!!

Drove over 40 minutes to try this place out gotta say it’s the best burger I’ve ever had! Clean establishment, professional manager, very nice vibe and clean!!
I will be committing to this drive again and pay a visit in the near future, Michael the manager makes you feel welcomed and at home.

I have been going to Hippos for a number of years. They started out at a little spot in Humble, now I think they may have six or seven locations. The quality of their food is great. I love their hamburgers and chicken sandwiches. Tater tots are great also. Definitely a place to try out. They have so much more on the menu.

Excellent eatery! Well priced, fast, convenient, and great service. Ordered a Nutella shake for our daughters. Behind the counter they heard us telling our girls they would have to share , and without asking they split the shake into two! It’s the little things!

The prices really do reflect that and more than what you’re paying for. You are paying for a humongous amount of quality food made fresh to order. I have never tried a burger I didn’t like, and they have a million awesome other selections and they’re milkshakes are pretty sweet too. Definitely a must try

Very shocked at how expensive it was for 3 people to eat here. The kids meals are really good priced. That is why we were shocked that our total was more than $30. They charge you for everything, I’m surprised fries don’t come with the burgers. They charge for a ranch, no kids cups.
Was not very happy with one of the people working, they were a bit grumpy.
Place was clean, music wasn’t to loud, could hear the TV’s also, not to loud. Had a pretty good crowd. Service was SUPER FAST.

This was our first time trying Hippo Burger. We ordered for curbside, and they didn’t disappoint! We live like 5 minutes away, so everything was still hot by the time we made it home. We order a Bacon Cheese Burger with Cheese Fries and H Avocado Burger with grilled onions w Cajun Fries. Will definitely come back, even our pup was intrested, haha!
