My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the restaurant’s welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere, efficient service, and delicious sushi. Given the prices, the sushi is an outstanding value. The Surf and Turf was one of my favorites, as was the Heritage Roll, a special crafted by the chef. We’re also looking forward to returning to enjoy more of their baked mussels and miso soup. The server was attentive and professional, consistently checking in and keeping us informed about our order. For $80 we were able to get 2 miso soups, baked mussels, 6 piece tuna sashimi, and 3 sushi rolls… definitely worth it!

Best sushi & sashimi on the island: good fresh fish, well prepared. Not super fancy but tastes great. Well priced too. Cocktails are fine & they also have sake, wine & beer. The dining areas are nice but could use a slight refresh. Service is mostly good & friendly but requires patience at times especially when they are slammed in summer.

Solid 3.5 stars. Disappointing I thought it would be more authentic. The katsu chicken was soggy and almost had a microwaved taste. Surely not fried and crispy. No sauce with the bento box. And the waitress walked by three times and never asked or refilled our drinks. . Great atmosphere but almost better food next door at the Asian bistro buffet. Not coming back.

Hinoki is always a delicious experience! Been coming here with my family over 10 years, and after visiting Japan, I can say that this is the only sushi place on the island that is close to Japanese quality!
The sushi chefs are all Japanese, very friendly and happy to help if you have any questions. The deluxe nigiri is my favorite set and I get it almost every time. Salmon egg sushi is very good, as well as the tempura. They have fatty tuna as well, which is rare, and it is so worth the price!

We have tried a few other sushi places on the Island and by far this is the best. The seared salmon nigiri special was so good we got a second order. The Dinosaur Egg was unique and flavorfull and not drowned in the accompanying sauce. The shrimp tempura app was light and delicious and the shrimp was nor over cooked. Company at the sushi bar was excellent as was the service. We will return every time we are passing through.

Sat at the sushi bar to watch the sushi being made and speak with the sushi chefs was such a treat. Sushi was so fresh. Would return again. Highly recommend. It is a more traditional Japanese atmosphere and they have several seating options if you make reservations.

We entered Hinoki and were immediately greeted by the vivacious energy of powerhouse server and legend among humans— Debbie. What a star. 10/10 food, 100/10 service. Will be back and will be requesting Debbie for sure!
