I’m sorry I didn’t take a photo of the ribs before eating, but the peach barbecue ribs are the best I’ve ever had. As a picky meat smoker, I really love this place, and it will definitely be a stop for my wife and me. Her steak was perfectly cooked. The green beans were so fresh that you could taste their snap. The key lemon pie and Myers lemon cheesecake are absolutely delicious.

We came here for our anniversary dinner. The waitress Danny was amazing. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and we appreciated her recommendations. Every part of the staff, from the front desk hostess, to the bartender to the wait staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our first visit was a few years ago for a birthday dinner and we had an even better time second time around. The food was amazing, everything was cooked to perfection and the cocktails were perfect. We can’t wait to come back again.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve eaten at Hindquarter so the bf and I decided to give it a go for a late afternoon lunch. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer. They didn’t have buffalo available so we ordered Thai sweet chili. They were pretty good. I only wish the serving was more than 5 wings. I would have happily paid more for a few more wings to make it a shareable serving.
For my entree, I ordered the prime rib which came with mixed vegetables and a baked potato. My bf ordered the hanger steak with mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables and onion strings. Neither meal was remarkable, but they weren’t bad. An iced tea, coke, appetizer and two meals came in under $100. That was a pleasant surprise. Hindquarter won’t be added to our list of go to’s, but it’s certainly not a never go again.

A true classic restaurant. Mandy was my server. Very kind, knowledgeable. Professional and friendly. A rare combination. I had the smoked prime rib, a Wednesday special. Beware!!! It’s huge. Baked potato (with all you could ask for) and steamed veggies. Au jus, horseradish sauce. Perfect dinner. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely, comfortable restaurant with great food and a friendly staff.

Came here to watch game 5 of the world series. My friend and I were visiting and just flew into town that day and could not find somewhere to play the game with volume on. This place let us sit on patio with our own TV and turned on volume for us. It’s like we had our own suite! Erica was our server and was wonderful. We were able to enjoy a very meaningful game and I was able to watch my team from 1700 miles away win their first world series! What a great memory and I thank Hindquarter bar and grill for making it possible. Your hospitality was incredible!

Nice environment very much country vibe many drink options. I had the New York steak with mashed potatoes. My partner had the clams and sauce very good also. I wish the menu had more seafood options. Other then that I would recommend still.

It’s been about 30 yrs since I’ve been here. I use to go in the 80’s just to find a place for dinner. So I went had the pork chops they were delicious tender. So I went a few days later for the baby back ribs. The portion was big also tender. I try to go on their nightly speak nights. For dessert I had the burgundy cherry mud pie. Can’t get this in Monterey I highly recommend Hindquarter

I wanted to lick the plate after the Mahi mahi special!! Absolutely delicious!! That desire was after slowly devouring the crab cake appetizer that was one of the best ever! I look forward to returning for my second choice from the regular menu. Service was also prompt and friendly. **Only complaint is the pricing is different depending on where you look. (Online, in house menu, and the actual receipt at the end of meal).

It’s not a loud “hip” place. Grab your food, your drink, sit and chill.. the locals are solid down to earth. The staff are a pillar of the community. Would take my wife there again.
