We were staying close by and walked here for lunch since it was so close. We had no wait at 2 on a Saturday afternoon, the server quickly got our orders and the kitchen was fast! We barely had time to enjoy the crispy umami fried mushrooms before our sandwiches came out. My wife had the Italian beef and said that it was good but also said it ate a bit dry and needed a bit of fat. I had the crab cakes and they were very tasty, almost no filler so while they are small they were pretty filling with the crunchy onion rings I subbed in. My mom enjoyed her reuben, she agreed with another reviewer it was one of the best she has had. It was well stuffed with pastrami and was delicious. According to my son, the meatball sandwich was awesome, the meatballs were huge and he struggled a bit to eat it, but he managed. Overall everything was really good, the server was very attentive and we would definitely be back if we were here longer.

I wish I could give this place a negative 1 because that’s what it deserves. The audacity and disgust of the woman that was working the night of the hurricane on aug 30,2023 like she really should be fired immediately. And if she’s the owner than you need to go to some customer service training! This woman was so nasty and disrespectful to my husband when he came to pick up over $90 of your mediocre food! He wanted to add a brownie to his order when he got there and this woman takes a piece of brownie from another customers table and smacks it in my husbands hand and tells him “it’s on the house” I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT HERE AND YOU SHOULD GO SEEK JESUS! You lucky I wasn’t there ma’am cause you would’ve got a mouthful and than some. See photos for proof. And my food was thrown together so terribly too!

I was in Hilton Head last week by myself, and I was working doing DoorDash on my vacation so I went there late at night almost every night, and I really felt, as my first bar experience of my life, it was great. I liked the food and I felt comfortable being there. The first night especially, I felt very welcomed but by the end of the week, they were tired of me but that’s because I don’t drink. This was our second visit to Hinchey’s and it was very disappointing. The food was terrible. My mother-in-law and I both had the crab cakes. I would bet my next paycheck that they came frozen from a box. I inquired about the origin of the grouper and they said they didn’t know, which I thought was odd for a place a block from the ocean. My father-in-law, a former resident of Chicago, ordered the Italian beef and it was made out of what looked like boiled stew meat and not sliced beef.

Not very nice to visitors, we are from out of town celebrating my friends birthday and wanted to go out for drinks and food and the bartenders we extremely rude. One male bartender was asking for our orders for food and we told him how we wanted to split the checks and he talked over us and said “we can worry about that later” then brought us our food and my friend asked if she could try some sauce to go with her chicken and he said “either you want the sauce or you don’t I’m not making another trip to the kitchen.” So she went ahead and ordered a random sauce of the bartenders choosing. Then we tried to order drinks and he gave us everything we ordered in shot form and when we said they were supposed to be drinks he said “everything you ordered comes in shots normally if you wanted drinks you should have said that” which our drinks were a pineapple upside down cake and a Tito’s with cranberry juice so I’m not sure how those are normally shots?? Also he didn’t split our check at all he gave it to us on one tab. Super disappointed. The only nice thing about it was the other people who were at the bar and were friendly.

Service was excellent. I only gave it 4 stars because the Italian beef isn’t a Chicago Italian Beef. The meat is like a pot roast. I was excited to see this place since I’m from Chicago and have been wanting some food from back home. Overall the prices are fair and the service is great!

We had the wings which were breaded but not like hooters. Huge wings. Great flavors. We had medium and kicking bourbon which was a nice flavor. Service was great. I would eat there again.

Checked this place out on a Wednesday evening in July. There were just a few tables seated. Our waitress (Jody?) was very nice and made several recommendations from the menu. I got the grilled chicken sandwich, blackened, as she recommended, and it was delicious. Sweet potato fries were great. Hubby got the Italian beef sandwich with cheese, which he loved. Daughter got the pulled pork, which had “the perfect amount of sauce” and was too much for her to finish. We took advantage of the discount on beer and wine for happy hour. If you’re tired of waiting 45 minutes for a table, check this place out! Prices were on the low side for the area, but varied a lot from $9.50 for a hot dog type thing to $30+ for a seafood entree. Oh, and the next night, we stopped in for dessert. Daughter got a root beer float, I got the flavor of the week cupcake cheesecake, which was Heath Bar, featured in the photo.

We really enjoyed this place since we are from the Chicago area like the owner. Best Ruben sandwich that I have ever had. Hamburgers are huge. The staff was great the atmosphere was nice we met some really nice people there as well.

Servers were knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Ordered the blackened chicken torta with fries. Absolutely fantastic. Fries were crisp and seasoned. Also ordered the Two daufuskie crab cake sliders with pasta salad. Positively sensational. Would definitely recommend coming here for the food. You will not be disappointed!
