Service deserves its own round of applause. The gentleman who took our order was kind, efficient, and genuinely patient, striking that elusive balance between attentiveness and ease. Hospitality here feels sincere, not scripted.
Now, the food, because that’s why we’re really here. I ordered the Chicken Korma at a medium spice level, a strategic decision given an impending piano concert and my desire to focus on music rather than managing a spice-induced crisis. The dish arrived beautifully presented, with the curry served in its own elegant pot alongside a separate plate of white rice, allowing diners full control over their sauce-to-rice ratio (as it should be). The korma was richly seasoned, luxuriously creamy, and perfectly spiced – flavorful without being overwhelming. Each bite paired seamlessly with the rice, and yes, I did close my eyes and briefly transport myself to the Himalayan range, fully immersed in an authentic Nepalese dining experience.
At $13.99, the portion size is nothing short of generous, with an abundance of tender chicken that left me full, happy, and deeply satisfied. Frankly, my only real disappointment was realizing how long I had deprived myself of this restaurant. I am now committed to making up for that lost year of not dining here.
The overall experience was unhurried and indulgent. We never felt rushed, only cared for. Between the ginger tea, the crisp, chip-like bread with dip, and the thoughtful service throughout, the entire meal felt borderline royal. My lone regret? Not ordering a to-go container of Chicken Korma, extra spicy, for post-piano concert bliss.
Himalayan Range has earned a loyal customer. I will absolutely be back, and soon. Thank you for a truly wonderful culinary experience.
Their naan has improved a lot over time, and the service is always excellent with a very friendly owner and staff. Some of my kids’ favorites are the Chicken 65, chicken momos, and veg chow chow. Personally, I love the goat coconut (or mango) curry, chana batura (ordered separately), and goat biryani. Their parathas are also worth trying if you’re into parathas.
Overall, a great spot if you enjoy flavorful food and aren’t too particular about it being strictly desi or South Indian style. Highly recommended!
Food is delicious! Black lentils delish. We sat down today and received complimentary ginger tea. Not on the menu but absolutely delicious!
Will be back again and again for the many options
You should try the gularb jamin for dessert. My favorite!
Our server was so nice, but could have been a little more attentive.
veggie pakora: 6.5/10
solid but lacking in flavor/spices. also was cold by the time we were eating it even though we ate it like 5 minutes after they handed us our food.
chicken coconut curry: 7/10
nothin crazy. very hearty and comforting curry and was good but not extraordinary.
