It’s a good place to try Indian food, especially if you’re not Indian — the flavors are well-suited to a foreign palate. Overall, a good experience.

We ordered vegetarian food to be delivered as we are guests and travelling in Rome – we ordered palak paneer, paneer tikka and tikka masala with rice, lacha paratha, Peshawari naan and chapati- all items almost bought us to tears, so much so we were wondering if any of the reviews were genuine? The paneer was super dry as if the chef forgot to take it out of the tandoor, sparsely seasoned- palak was actually saag paneer with too much ginger that there was no taste of any other flavour-the tikka masala was sad with no flavour depth- felt like dumped canned tomato and ginger with super dry paneer- not even aesthetic- coming to roti, lacha parantha and naan – it felt like there is no distinction between them- all looked the same too thick like bread, very hard – you should be able to pinch and tear a roti or naan with one hand – we used both hands and it was still super hard -almost the rotis were like retrograded- probably because the dough is fibrous and not kneaded enough- one of those experiences you do not want to remember again

You feel right at home for vegetarians lovers. Good option for veggie. Fast and accurate service. Owner was there. Offered some extra papad and sweet. Made last meal in Rome enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

This place epitomizes customer service. They bent over backwards to fill in my special order request. We ordered a few vegetarian food items and every one of them tasted amazing. I highly recommend this place.

The food was very much below average. The ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, the gravy was no where close to Indian gravy. On top of it we ordered Garlic nan & to my surprise there was no garlic in it, highly disappointed. Not sure how people have rated it good, if you have no option only then go for it else will not recommend for Indian food. We literally could not finish the food despite being so expensive.

Himalaya Palace is a long-trusted North Indian restaurant in Rome with moderately priced food (20 euros for the signature menu, approx 40 euros for two a la carte) served with great love and care in an unassuming yet comfortable ambience. The veg pakoras, paneer tikka masala, and cheese naan are must-haves. The meat curries also come highly recommended. Make sure you reserve a table in advance as the place can get quite full.
We got complimentary fried papad (delicious) while waiting for our starters, and complimentary raita and Basmati rice with our mains. The ambience is simple, the service very prompt, and the proprietor Guptaji is an excellent host. He recommended the Santa Cristina Toscana 2016, a full-bodied and fruity red wine. We also ordered samosas (vegetarian pastries with savoury filling), paneer tikka (grilled cottage cheese in tasty marinade), and mix veg pakoras (fried onion, potato, and eggplant fritters). The portions were ideal for two people.
For mains, we went with paneer tikka masala and malai kofta as curries, and cheese naan and laccha paratha as breads. The super cheesy and soft naan and the perfectly done paneer tikka masala were exemplary. The latter wasn’t too spicy but as delicious as any counterpart you’d find in India. The malai kofta consisted of fried potato dumplings in gravy, and the layered laccha paratha was good to mop it up with. We’ll be back for dessert another time!

The place looks decent… Tables aren’t too close to each other. Service was quick.
Taste of food is very much average… The quantity of food is VERY small. The chicken biryani plate was so small that I would need 4 of them to fill my stomach. Chicken tikka had only 4 pieces and not so tasty. Chicken Vindaloo was not bad. Baingan bartha was good. Nan were too crisp. Cost was above average.
I wouldn’t visit again, unless I’ve no other option available.

The food was super tasty. I ordered it online so I cannot rate the service or sfeer. The quantity was a bit less than expected. Overall pretty good.
