For appetizers, we ordered the mantu and bolani. I love Afghan food, but these were a bit underwhelming. The mantu lacked flavor, and the bolani was only half-filled with potato — the outer edges were super crispy but mostly empty.
For entrées, we ordered the ribeye, filet mignon kabab, lamb shank, and the Herat combo. The food did take quite a while to come out. The ribeye had no salt and the chili chermoula sauce overpowered the meat itself. The filet mignon kabab was actually really tasty, but it came with very little rice. The Herat combo included filet mignon and chicken, but the chicken was pretty bland.
Overall, the experience was decent — great ambiance and service, but the food was hit or miss.
Delicious food with good variety.
Service and staff is awesome. We went there to celebrate birthday, they played a happy birthday song and they have and they brought it with candle. It was busy though we went for dinner on Saturday. Amazing experience, for good halal food, this is the best place.l am posting some pics too.
The atmosphere is fantastic and the decor is absolutely stunning. It was a little busy but the workers seated us quickly and even asked our preference.
Our server was nice and very attentive even though she was visibly running around taking care of her other multiple tables.
I got the Chicken Kabob with Zamarud and my husband got the Filet Mignon Kabob with Naringe. They took about 25 minutes to come out, but both dishes came out cooked beautifully. Juicy and very flavorful. The rice we each got paired fantastic with the spices of the meat and we deeply enjoyed our meal.
Afterwards we got dessert; Choclava and Rice Pudding and they were a very good finish to our meal and experience.
The owner Wali is also fantastic. He came over and spoke to us multiple times during our meal and he made the restaurant feel like home. Overall we loved our time here and will absolutely comeback again!
