We came here on a Wednesday afternoon while we’re visiting my Grandma at Colorow Health and Rehabilitation facility. There were 3 people getting to-go orders and two people in the dining room. We actually drove right by because there’s no sign identifying the restaurant. If you’re heading North and pass the gas station on the corner, you’ve gone too far. We had the fried pickle spears, a fried chicken sandwich, and a spicy fried chicken sandwich and they were DELICIOUS. He makes his own buns and bread. It’s a soft bun toasted with a touch of sweetness. The chicken was moist, his oil is fresh and has no taste of dirtiness. The onion rings are great. There’s nothing we didn’t like. It’s a small place but worth trying if you’re in the area!! ❤️

Simple place, fresh made everything, the food was very tasty. I asked for a medium rare burger he said he would do, but it came over cooked. Yet it was still delicious and not dried out, so I ate it.
I had a couple of questions which seemed to annoy the owner, he was impatient. They were simple questions about the food. This was my first time there.
I got a strudel to go. It was very good, made with Philo dough, so different, but yummy. And the piece was huge. All the portions were good size. Reasonable prices as well.

Passing through and stopped here for dinner. WOW! The food was so good! I had the French dip and my wife had the hamburger with onion rings. We also had fried mushrooms and pickles. SO good…The owner and cook (Cary I believe is his name) is a super nice guy and was a pleasure to visit with. I very much recommend trying this place out.

It was like going to Grandpa’s for lunch! Homemade everything. The BBQ burger i got was delicious and the spicy chicken sandwich my friend got was delicious as well. I actually took my leftovers, which i don’t normally have or do.

Man ive been having this place sence I was young and oh man your in for a treat, best fried mushrooms, onion rings, and blts you’ll ever have, and the strudel, get out of here! its your lucky day when the owner gets the time and energy to make the greatest strudel of all time, thank you for making my day everytime I get the honor of enjoying your food and I will 10/10 always come back every chance I get

Hightower Cafe was outstanding! Everything is made in house and very good even the eggs seemed Farm Fresh. We have chickens, there eggs did not seem to come from a regular food distributor. Very good food I will be going back to try lunch

Excellent stop on our travels. The burgers were great and I really enjoyed the fries. It deserves the high rating, stop in and give it a try.

I give this little but loving place 5 stats, I wish I could give them 10 stars. I went twice to eat here as my daughter was playing in a basketball tournament right across the street at the middle/high school. The cook and the nice, young lady where so kind and sweet both times that I went in. My son even got ice cream from the nice gentleman cooking our food. The place was clean and the food was delicious and big portions for the price. Great customer service and overall thank you for being generous and kind. You both truly made a difference in my weekend. Hope to be back soon.
