We absolutely loved our experience at this spa! The atmosphere was so relaxing and beautifully designed from the moment we walked in, we felt completely at ease. The service was truly top-tier, and the staff was professional, attentive, and welcoming. Everything exceeded our expectations. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful spa experience!

We are local and chose to eat at Skylaranna for Thanksgiving. First, I am thankful that we had a meal and we did not have to cook.

With that being said, we were thoroughly disappointed for what we paid for. Our buffet style reservation was at dinner time; however, by the time we got there it felt as if we got the leftovers from everybody who was there before us. The turkey and ham were processed, there were no potatoes (empty pans), most of the beans were gone, the bread was stale, as well as the desert. It was hard not to notice all of the other diners commenting on their dissatisfaction with the lack of food available or the quality of food they paid for.

The ambiance felt like a cafeteria… stale and bright. I would recommend dimmer lights in the future.

Overall, we gave this experience 1-star, and we will not give Skylaranna anymore of our business. I feel like our Thanksgiving meal this year would have been better had we eaten from the hot section at the grocery store.

We went to the Valentine’s Masquerade dance. Here’s some of the things wrong with the event. They said everyone needs to dress up suite and or masquerade dress. You would think it would be a formal affair No.. They said they were having prime rib Not they had some kind of beef , chicken with cheese and Caesar in cheese. I hate cheese, anyway we had to ask for a knife, salt , pepper and even a big spoon to get the ice out of the big bowel they put out. If they ran out of nick knacks like sweets and crackers to bad they didn’t refill. The Who done it game fell flat. What made me very upset was it is February very cold at night and all the dancing and music was OUTSIDE!! They had small heaters in the ceiling and that wasn’t not enough. I had to go back inside. Everyone I talked to said they couldn’t believe it was outside. Total waste for us at $150 per couple and they made you pay like $27 tip at the bar. Never again! The staff was very friendly though

**Go check reviews on Yelp, OpenTable, TripAdvisor and if able, look at the local Asheville Foodies group. This place has quite the record and not recommended by locals. I am tired of reposting reviews, but they have 2 accounts for this restaurant (please go look at the post on the High Tide Coastal Cuisine Google page) and have also blocked me from reviewing on Facebook (gosh only knows how many other reviews have been deleted). Avoid this place at all costs.**

Valentine’s Day disaster. Arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation but they had a table available. We were walked and sat at a dirty unset table. The table top was smeared with something greasy. All other open tables around us were sat with plates and silverware. No big deal. Server wiped the table when we made him aware but no plates or silverware. We were eventually brought a water pitcher and a bread service with a bunch of dips that we had no clue what they were (not on the prix fixe menu). When the server asked our salad preference I knew something was up. House or Caesar- those were not options on the menu disclosed at purchase. No big deal. We both like Caesar. Shortly after salads someone approached our table with 2 filet entrees. We hadn’t even ordered yet. Our server thought we had ordered already- nope (by the way we were asked multiple times our name to confirm our reservation). When we ordered, the choices were filet or salmon- again, not what we had purchased from the prix fixe menu. The options I thought we would have were filet, shrimp, and potatoes or grouper. I asked about the salmon and the server didn’t know what was on it- had to go get a picture and description for me. Despite not liking the toppings, I ordered the salmon, husband ordered the filet. Everything came out not 5 minutes later- cold. Husband’s filet was well done (ordered mid rare) and tiny. I saw other steak in the dining room- his was ridiculous. I have pictures. Salmon was disgusting. What’s worse- his steak came with some chopped up vegetable crap. No potatoes. No shrimp. I had also ordered a second glass of wine that never came. Not too surprisingly- nobody came to do a food check. We sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Eventually my husband flagged down a server who retrieved what I think was a a manager. We explained. She offered to remake the steak- nope. We wanted to leave. HUGE waste of $150. I will also add, the amount of auctioning off of food was ridiculous. That dining room is not huge at all. Make table numbers and know where you are taking food/drinks! To top it off- the little ad for the Valentine’s special makes the place look romantic. Nope. Bright harsh can lights lit the dining room. No candles, table cloths. That’s the least that could have happened on Valentine’s Day. Also, be aware of AI generated photos on social media. I found 2 reviews posted on Facebook that are the exact same.

***editing to add that the restaurant and resort are suppressing reviews on social media- they have blocked me and my review and comments are NOT visible. This place is INCREDIBLY deceptive. Join some Asheville local groups and you will get a much more accurate picture of this shady place****

The food, atmosphere, and service was great. The only issue was multiple errors with our order and the chef came out a few times with the first time being a bit uncomfortable.
