Great place for breakfast! The Fried chicken was amazing. I had a bacon and cheddar omelet with home fried potatoes and those were some of the best potatoes I have ever had

What a cute place for a quick breakfast! My husband and I came in after having a busy morning and while the place was busy, the staff immediately acknowledged us and let us know they’d seat us soon. As we waited, we had the opportunity to take in all the adorable dog themed photos and decor. I loved it, being a dog mom myself. I felt right at home lol we got seated and got our drinks quickly. Our host was fast paced and to the point. We actually appreciated the efficiency and the lack of formalities. After all, the place was busy. Then our food came and OH MY GOODNESS when I tell you to get their specialties, you need to Get.Their.Specialties ! The strawberry French toast is literally cake !!! I felt like I was very special having that plate in front of me. It was delicious. Crispy on the outside, very soft on the inside. You won’t be disappointed in taste nor portion size.
The only thing u would say I wish was slightly better would be the coffee, it was a tad watered down to us- but in all honestly that might just be us being used to strong espresso, so I am keeping this as 5stars all around.
Now that we know this place exists, I definitely see this place as a routine stop for us from now on.

First time visit at this restaurant. The atmosphere was really nice, diner like; and the restaurant was very clean. The decorations were all focused on the Highland Scotty dog. Our food however, was very commercial and priced the same as more modern restaurants. I had corn beef hash which tasted just like the Hormel I get from a can. I upgraded to a muffin with my breakfast, but the muffin was clearly a commercial muffin that they heated in a microwave. My grits were kind of dry and boring.

That stuffed toast sounds amazing, like a real comfort food dream. Fresh ingredients always make a difference, elevating a simple dish to something special. American diner style is classic for a reason, hitting that perfect balance of tasty and satisfying. It’s the kind of meal that just makes you feel good. Definitely sounds like a winning experience!

Arrived on a Monday at about 11:00am, was promptly seated by very kind staff. I went for the Philly cheesesteak—it wasn’t bad but also felt like it could’ve used a little more love. Meat felt under-seasoned however all the toppings and bread was delicious. The food came out very quickly. French fries were just shy of golden crispy, which made for a plate of floppy fries. With enough attention to detail, the restaurant can definitely improve taste wise. Otherwise, it’s your typical, cozy, down-home diner where you can expect an American diner breakfast. I will be back but will likely try something else.

Extremely disappointed in the entire experience. They are quick to seat and within 5 minutes 3 servers asked for our order. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the experience. The coffee is watered down and is basically hot water. We ordered the “trash plate”, which is essentially everything thrown on a griddle and fried up and some cheese on top. This took almost 30 minutes to come out. When the food came out, it wasn’t even hot. It was warm, at best. The cheese, what little there was, didn’t even melt completely. The biscuit was anemic, with hardly any bake or color. The plate was lacking seasoning, the has browns were soggy. Nothing about this dish or diner was a positive experience. Definitely memorable though. A place to avoid at all costs. The most frustrating part, how does it take 30 minutes to fry up a couple of eggs and slap everything together and still make it poorly?

I really enjoyed this restaurant, I had the country fried steak and a Belgian waffle. I kinda regret not getting the strawberry French toast, the table next to us had it and it looked delicious. The coffee was good, food was great, service excellent, can’t complain. We left stuffed and happy 🙂

Small old timer feel. Like visiting your grandmothers home when you were young. Very affordable. The english muffins came pre-buttered. Eggs are real and delicious, the sausage links were salty and delectable. I would return. There was no wait and the parking lot was full.

I absolutely loved this diner! We stumbled on in on a day trip to Mount Dora, and I am so glad we decided to go in. First things first – I loved the homey feel of the restaurant and all of the dog themed decorations! We were sat at a cozy table almost right away by a friendly host. Our waitress was extremely friendly and recommended some of her favorites. Our food came out quickly and was very good! Will definitely come back our next time in Mount Dora.
