I have tried and tried to like Hickory Tavern but I can’t. Service is good, place is clean, atmosphere is warm, but the food…something is always off. From raw burgers to not changing the grease, I can’t do it again. This was my last attempt. They have amazing mozzarella sticks (used to be wedges) and we love them so I keep trying to give them more chances, which leads to more disappointing visits. My last visit there was last week and the overpowering taste of old burnt grease in the pub chips and tater tots was too much.

Coop (?) gave us excellent service with a sweet smile. Our food came out quickly. Mom had a bowl of chili, my sister had a Cobb salad, and I had the Fiesta salad. Chili was good to the last drop, which is saying something for a 90-year-old woman! She commented that it wasn’t too spicy. My sister ate her entire Cobb salad with grilled chicken and had no complaints. My Fiesta was supposed to have pulled BBQ chicken and … it was refrigerator-cold, hard, and more like thin sliced chicken that had been smothered in BBQ sauce. It actually ruined the salad for me. In all fairness, this is the first time in a long while that my meal has been sub-par at this chain. We eat at another location, closer to home, on a regular basis, and it’s always fantastic.

I was disappointed with my recent experience. The cookies were burnt, the nachos were overcooked, and the wings were undercooked. On top of that, the food took longer to arrive than I expected. Given that it wasn’t particularly busy, these issues felt avoidable. Overall, it was frustrating, and I was too hungry and tired to address it with a manager at the time. I hope these issues are addressed moving forward…. Salad was bad too.

Great place to watch football/sports with all their screens. Our waitress Alayna was wonderful – she was very outgoing and attentive to our table. The Brussel sprouts and bang bang shrimp were delicious.

I decided to stop by Hickory Tavern while waiting for my cat to get out of surgery. I had the Shrimp Alfredo pasta and Street Corn. While the food was delicious the service was what made my visit a 10/10. Chelsea took the best care of me, made sure I was happy with my food, and she engaged in plenty of conversation with me during this stressful time. She didn’t rush me through my meal either, so that was nice as well. This Hickory Tavern has always been my favorite location, but after moving away I don’t get to visit as frequently as I would like.

Amazing place ! The food was so freaking good. My portobello burger was burned and the manger and bartender took care of it. It came back looking great and delicious. I came with my cousin he got some bbq ribs and loved it so much that we took some to go food. ❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I are regulars here and love to sit in Chelsea’s section. Her service is always 5/5 and the food is consistently good. We love jukebox bingo on Wednesdays; winners get gift cards for the restaurant
There’s a ton of TVs and they have $15 domestic beer buckets on weekends for the big games. Highly recommend stopping by!

Had a nice dining experience tonight at the Hickory Tavern. Good atmosphere, not too loud. Food was better than average and the prices are decent. Overall not bad at all. Plenty of TV screens to watch the game but still quiet enough to be able to hold a conversation.
