Yummy! Grabbed a meal from here due to a recommendation from a local. Had a breakfast skillet and it was so delicious, perfect for me to eat in the car and hit all the right spots for my breakfast that day. I will definitely be returning to try some other menu items the lady I met at the counter for my pick up order was extremely nice, very polite, and she actively listened when I made the call to place the order ensuring I had what I needed to enjoy my meal in the car.

We go there 1-3x a week for the last 2 years never had a meal that made us feel sick 30 min after we ate it either!
Fresh, yummy & perfectly consistent REAL FOOD every time & plenty of it! I always have take out for the next days lunch if I order a meal w those perfect buttery dinner rolls….sometimes I just get a hot sandwich & fries. Equally yummO!
I have not ever waited more than 10 minutes for our meals once we’ve placed our order.

Food was great. Came out a little cold but didn’t make it taste bad. Our server was great. My patty melt was delicious. Sweet potato fries were a little skimpy (and what came out cold). My husband enjoyed his ham and eggs

This is perhaps the best old fashioned diner in Oklahoma. We eat out a lot and try a lot of places. If you want to take in a diner that is more or less the heartbeat of a small town in Oklahoma, this is your spot.
It is on the west side of Cleveland and is somewhat unassuming if you were to just drive by, but if you are ever within 10 maybe even 20 miles of Cleveland Oklahoma, I would really recommend stopping in here. From the gravel parking lot to the well worn tile floors to the nice old school red booths and tables, this diner has it all. And the food? Oh my gosh, everything is tasty and it’s demonstrated by people coming in sometimes 3 times a day. From that fantastic country breakfast to a very well cared for soup and salad bar all the way to tasty steaks, this is your place. They even have a staffer whose only job is to keep the nicest looking, cleaned and stocked salad bar in Oklahoma. Now that’s refreshing!
I have not eaten the actual buffet, but they have a Sunday buffet and a Friday night buffet that is super affordable. It’s run by a very caring 3rd generation family and they pour life into this restaurant. (You will see all 3 generations working there!) Come by and give a nice old school diner a try. My pictures I took are so nice they look fake, but these are real shots of their food as it came out. They allowed me extra pics. You have to try them.

My husband and I made a special trip up with our babies after the fires last year… we came to donate some things but also to eat at the “famous” Hickory House! I had probably told him about how amazing the food was- especially the burgers- at least 20 times since we’d been together. It definitely did not disappoint!!! He thought it was just as good as I made it out to be. Since then he’s mentioned making that 2 hour trip just to come back and eat again a few times! Ya’ll are going great and it warms my heart to know it’s still in business!!! It feels like home!

I was hungry and by chance this was the first open sign I noticed at 06:00.
I ordered a Western omelette but asked for 4 eggs plus jalapenos and a coffee to drink. While waiting for my food several of the locals chatted me up and were very super pleasant and very welcoming.
Overall this was an excellent experience and delicious food.

My husband had the chicken fried steak and his sides were french fries mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. When she brought it to the table he had six french fries on his plate. Yes I said six. Needless to say we said something and they didn’t bring no more out so with that saying I am my husband do not recommend this restaurant anymore and we will not eat here anymore.

I recently had to move from Cleveland, and, although there are plenty of places to eat around here, I truly miss Hickory House. My husband passed last July, and this was also his favorite. He could not have much salt in his diet, and he could always count on the cooks there to honor special requests. Our grandkids also loved it – both the breakfast all day and the burgers – a staple of their diet! Pat is one of the absolute sweetest women ever. I hope Cleveland never loses this place as it is one of the best around! Any time we are back in town we plan to stop by and have a meal there!
