The Spare Ribs were good as usual. But the Briskets and Corn Muffins are a big dry. Therefore I’m only giving 4 stars for the food.
Service is great and as a bonus treat, Greg from “Grub with Greg” YT channel and his son came in, so you know it’s gotta be good for this to be his frequent spot.
The brisket was tender and smoky, and the sweet potato side was the highlight, sweet and crunchy on top, and perfectly seasoned.
It’s a great spot if you’re craving BBQ with friendly service.
Would definitely come back for their brisket again.
The star of the show was the meat perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and incredibly tender. The brisket had a beautiful bark and melted in your mouths, the pulled pork was juicy and flavorful, and the ribs had the perfect smoky crust. The sides were solid, simple but satisfying. If you’re serious about great barbecue, this spot is a must-visit.
Everything I had was delicious, but that brisket was SO GOOD. So tender and pull apart and so tasty.
The service was so nice too. I asked if they had a spicer bbq sauce and they whipped 2 different ones up for me in like 2 min. 100% will come back
Then there’s the “World Famous” onion rings. Yes, they are hand-made, sweet, and special. The coleslaw was a little sweat, yet also had that tangy kick that made it great as well.
You can tell that Rick really puts his national award winning BBQ mastery and heart to work in this place. I/we look forward to coming back often and trying all the entries and sides here. The service was very nice and quick. The bacground music was great. This is a must try restaurant.
I stopped by and tried the Beef Brisket and Pork Ribs, and let me tell you, both were melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The brisket had that perfect smoky flavor and tender texture, while the ribs were just the right amount of sticky and sweet – you could taste the passion in every bite!
Hickory and Spice BBQ is open from Thursday to Sunday, and they sometimes sell out, so make sure to get there early. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good BBQ and a family-friendly vibe. Highly recommend it!
