I was really sketched out by the reviews, but the food is really decent!
The hibachi isn’t overdone with seasonings, meat is nice and tender, rice is fresh. Ye it might be “bland” for some but I actually do prefer less seasoning on my hibachi.
The sushi- salmon roll, philly roll, salmon sashimi (thick pieces good God just what I wanted) and salmon roe nigiri all amazing!
These crab rangoons are the BEST i ever tried and I will return!
For the prize? Absolutely yes, yes and yes.
If you want to spend money on more flavors go somewhere else this is fast, affordable and plenty, and mostly simple!
And again as other people mentioned, this place is meant to be as a fast affordable take-out for NCSU students! Not a high end hibachi Japanese restaurant! So set your expectations accordingly.

Great prices, decent sushi (for the price it’s nearly unbeatable) and haven’t had any issues with my orders so far. Ordered here a few times and will continue to be back!
I like that the spicy tuna roll comes with avocado and crunchy tempura flakes 🙂 lots of places don’t jazz up their spicy tuna roll like that. Plus the rolls are very large so it’s not just being bulked out

This was my first time ordering here and it will definitely be my last.

The staff member was polite, but the overall experience was terrible. I specifically asked for sauce with my hibachi order. When I got home, there was no sauce in the bag, so I had to drive all the way back to the restaurant. No one mentioned that customers are expected to fill their own sauce containers, and as a first-time customer that was not clear at all.

After making the extra trip and driving home again, I opened the container and realized my order was loaded with vegetables, even though I clearly requested no vegetables. There were literally more vegetables than chicken and rice. At that point, the entire meal was not what I ordered.

Having to make multiple trips and still receiving the wrong food is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but this felt careless. I am extremely disappointed and believe a refund would be appropriate.

I ordered steak and shrimp hibachi and I was enjoying my food until I bit into a large piece of steak that was as mushy as mashed potatoes, and smelled putrid and tasted sour. I immediately gagged from the taste and texture and spit it out. No telling if im going to get food poisoning yet

Bamboozled. I work in hospitality operations and I should have known from the weird stench that hit me when we entered but I thought I’d give it a try based on some reviews. Didnt smell of good food. I should have read more. Counter person was friendly, helpful and patient. Sushi was meh, hibachi…..not at all. The flavorless comments are real and no, adding white sauce(yumyum) didn’t help. Not to mention what i though was a good portion of food turned into a large portion of rice on one side and rice topped with 3 pieces of broccoli and some cabbage with a few shredded carrot pieces disguised as what I thought was a decent amount of protein(chicken). Not the case. Yeah rice will fill you up but its clear this is a tactic. My daughter got shrimp hibachi and it was the same. Flavorless and full of rice in her plate. She maybe have had more veggies but Im guessing because the small shrimp pieces didnt cover the rice like my thin sliced chicken. Waste of money. Half price sushi Im guessing was to sell before it completely spoiled and it was mediocre. I’d rather hit up sushi at the grocery store because this so called sushi bar is just taking up space at the counter. Interior could use some work too. Cover up your storage area. Just install some curtains and liven up the dining area. Doesn’t take much and it’ll be worth the investment. Its rundown and not at all inviting. I talked my daughter into eating inside after about 30 min sitting in the car. but after seeing it and smelling that smell there was no way I would have gotten through that. Maybe thats a tactic too. Oh a d everything in togo boxes. They dont seem to care for you to stay and dine. They’d have more confrontations on the portions and lack of flavor if more stayed and realized what they got. Definitely won’t go back unless I see an update to practices. Clearly just a money grab. Didnt bother calling and giving feedback because too much energy and time had already been wasted….along with money. They may need a inspection because there are comments of receiving spoiled meat. Listen to you customers and you could have something successful. If not, you may not be in the community much longer like many others that have closed. Its not rocket science but it takes effort also.

So I tried Pad See Ew here, but what I got was more like “Pad See… What in the world is this?”

Imagine you’re expecting that smoky, savory Thai classic with wide rice noodles, Chinese broccoli, and just the right amount of soy sauce. Now imagine instead a mountain—and I mean a mountain—of thick rice noodles drowning in a sweet red sauce (think Pad Thai’s distant cousin who studied abroad and came back weird), tossed with some broccoli florets, egg, and a few tiny shrimp playing hide and seek.

Was it edible? Sure. Was it Pad See Ew? Absolutely not. This is “Thai food” for broke college kids who want a bucket of carbs and don’t ask too many questions. If you’re here for authenticity or flavor precision, this ain’t it.

My girlfriend got the hibachi and described it as “meh” while poking at it like a disappointed Food Network judge. The presentation was kind of like the food equivalent of showing up to a Zoom meeting with no camera and bedhead. Functional, but not exciting.

That said, I’m giving them props for being a small local business slinging affordable food near NC State—lord knows the area needs it. If you’re on a budget and just need fuel to survive your finals, you’ll be fine. Just… maybe don’t expect your favorite Thai dish to taste anything like it’s supposed to.

Support local, but bring low expectations.

Sushi is really cheap and pretty good for the price. Very affordable, I always order online and pick up and it’s always ready when I come in. Hibachi plates with soba noodles are pretty fire.

I placed to dinner meals that came up to $31.00 my first plate was shrimp and steak the shrimp taste as if it was freezer burn… my second plate I ordered salmon and steak the salmon was burnt . My stomach instantly started hurting . I’m very disappointed and will not be returning…I only gave the service a 4star because the girl taking my order was very nice well mannered.
