I went to Hibachi Grill Buffet in Orange for lunch on my birthday with a friend. The place was quite busy, and they had a good variety of food, mostly fried items and seafood. Since it’s a buffet, you serve yourself, and the staff mainly just clear plates after you’re done.
What I found uncomfortable was how the waitresses kept staring at us, almost as if they wanted us to leave soon. After about an hour, one of them even came to ask if we were finished, even though I believe customers get around two hours to dine. When I asked for the cheque, the waitress specifically asked for an 11% tip and refused to let me choose a different amount, which I found very unprofessional.
Overall, the food was decent if you like fried seafood, but the service experience made it less enjoyable.

I’ve gone here a lot over the years and I’ve enjoyed their food. However, the constant filling of being watched like I’m a running out on the food. It’s giving a little racist. Also, I’ve had a period where I would just paid for my food upfront just so I didn’t have to be harassed. I will say, though I do like the new upgrade it looks a lot better..

First — I went here for the sushi and was extremely disappointed. They were extremely tiny supermarket quality rolls in the corner of the buffet. Nothing had flavor, many things were overcooked, including the hibachi. There were kids running around unattended, screaming, sneezing near food. The service was good, but that’s all. There are way higher quality buffets for the same price, look elsewhere.

We stopped here because we were really hungry and wanted some variety. This place was terrible. Most of the food was fried and the hibachi was trash. The guy that was supposed to be cooking the hibachi was so busy on his phone, that the hibachi was overcooked and the egg was a fried mess. They really need to clean the soda lines because the soda taste like mold.
Then they had a whole construction site down near the hibachi station on the way to the bathrooms.
I will NEVER eat here again. I don’t recommend anyone go here, until that get there crappie in order!

For what this buffet is and its pricing, this is one of the better ones in my opinion. The hibachi grill cooking to order gives choices for freshness, while the rest of the food is generally good quality. We have had some issues with the chicken being moderately undercooked once, but the next time we came this wasn’t an issue.

I’ve come to this buffet a few times the past couple years but unfortunately it seems to have declined over time.
Bathroom wasn’t clean – not giving any unwanted details but i will say…(#2).
The food was fine but the employees not so much. They were great at clearing the table of empty plates but that’s it.
A male employee looked like he was a pit boss at a casino watching everyone & the female employees waiting by his side ready to clear plates & people. Lady had the nerve to ask for more money after we already tipped.
Not a spot i would go back to soon. Maybe I’ll give it time and see how it is in another year.

Came here with my friends with an open and optimistic heart, after reading conflicting reviews. I can confirm that this is truly pretty gross food and atmosphere. Service isn’t great either. But the food is genuinely concerning, everything smells and tastes weird, especially all the meats. Don’t do it. Hygiene also seems questionable.

I love this place. The price is insanely cheap (especially for lunch), the place is always clean and the food is pretty good. I’m particularly fond of the hibachi and i have friends that dig the fresh sushi. Great service, great food and a lot to choose from. Easily the best buffet around.
