Came here for lunch because I was in the area. Going in, I was ready to order. The lady came out and took my order and said 10 minutes. It took just about that amount of time. I ordered the House special fried rice just to gauge the restaurant. It was piping hot when I got back to my destination to eat it. Now the quality was decent. Flavor wasn’t evident in the rice but the beef was pretty good. The chicken was okay at best but the shrimp was overcooked and unbelievably bland and flavorless. lol. It’s like you gotta rely on sauce to add flavor and I don’t like that. Overall, I might go back one more time. If you decide to give them a try, I hope you have a good experience with them. Food looks good. Smells alright. Taste is bad. The chicken I received has the texture of something made in a factory. The vegetables were over cooked and mushy. The miso soup was completely wrong, I don’t even know how to describe it. I would love to give a review of the chicken fried rice but unfortunately it didn’t look safe for consumption. The chicken was somehow worse than the chicken and broccoli, completely white and spongy. I would not eat here again.

Update: at inside and ordered tofu hibachi again. Omg the tofu was grilled in such a way that its exterior was slightly crispy!! Eating in is the wayyy. They thickened their hibachi sauce with more cornstarch, so it’s not as watery as it was last year. Still the same large yum yum sauce container. Still a heaping amount of food!

I always struggle finding tofu dishes in Charleston, but luckily this place offered it: tofu hibachi and tofu teriyaki. I got the teriyaki and it came with a huge tall jello-shot-sized yum yum sauce included!! Normally you’d pay extra for such a size! 10.99 tofu teriyaki price is a steallll with how big the takeout tray is! (I paid $3 extra to sub fried rice with lo mein noodles– which were perfectly soft-firm and sauteed without an abundance of leftover sauce.) I will come again and try the hibachi tofu to see the seasoning difference.
I was expecting small diced dry fried tofu, but the enormous takeout tray contained huge square slices of lightly-fried soft tofu! I think the teriyaki glaze didn’t stick much to the tofu pieces and resided on the bottom of the tray. I think the veggies (zucchini, crisp broccoli, onions, fresh button mushrooms) mixed with the water from the tofu watered down the sauce.. I’m okay with a simply seasoned dish – so I know those that prefer food-court style teriyaki would not find this equivalent. This isn’t gonna be Sanno’s or Sarku.
The yum-yum sauce tasted spot on with what you’d expect: slightly runny, slight mayo, and sweetness.
If a restaurant catered to only one person’s palette, then we wouldn’t have many restaurants of many different cuisines – you know?
So, try out these mom and pop food places and support their business and family with their rendition of their dishes that they put sweat into. After all, no restaurant business owner takes out loans to cook bad food.

The food was horrible. The chicken was so dry and over cooked I couldn’t get my fork through it. The rice was dry and old tasting and to top it all off I ordered General Tso Chicken and this looked and tasted like BBQ sauce thrown over nasty dry chicken. I will never go back again

They give you barely any sauce so don’t think you are getting that full size. They need to buy the correct size containers for the amount they are giving you so you have the option to order enough sauce for your needs.

I have ordered from here for years and unfortunately, this will be the last time.
Placed an order online. I showed the cashier my order confirmation and the charge already processed to my bank. She said “we don’t have that order” and refused to make it without “a ticket”.. she said multiple times “our online order is not working”. I tried explaining that I had been charged and all they had to do was make the order. She advised me to dispute with the bank. I left with no food.

Wow… I don’t ever leave reviews, but people need to be warned. My girlfriend and I spent $65 on this rubbish and both of our plates were practically inedible. Chicken was dry, steak rubbery, and the shrimp went bad long before it was cooked. This establishment should be embarrassed to charge people money for this sad excuse for hibachi. The only other thing I’m annoyed with is that my girlfriend and I walked across the street to get dog food from the grocery store… could have just ordered another plate.

I went to hibachi grill i’ve gone there several times before I always get a steak bowl well done… honestly the food is usually pretty good the customer service is never that good but today was horrible. I went in and I was on the phone to my nurse Which I asked her to hold for a moment I ordered a steak bowl well done. I got my food and left I got home. And noticed that it was shrimp not steak. I called to let them know, I wanted to have have them do a steak bowl and I would drive and pick it up. However I didn’t even get that far. The woman (Kesha or something like that) who took my order who is never friendly. Was downright RUDE!!!! She said I ordered shrimp well done. I said no mam steak well done. She said no it wasn’t .. I again said yes I know I did because I do NOT like shrimp and I do not eat shrimp. She said “I don’t care what you eat and what you don’t eat. You got what you ordered” I then asked to speak to the manager. She said well call after 6pm and hung up on me. I Will be looking for a new place to eat from now on. My recommendation—- find another place the food is pretty good but customer service it’s horrible, the inside is old and worn, and I took a photo of what was laying outside the door. Gross!!
