What The Hell! This is “not” Herrera’s!! This place was horrible!! The food and service was a “joke”!!! Please don’t mistake for the “original” family!!! I drove an hour for this mess, very disappointing!! Photos of Beef Nachos and a 2C.

Haven’t been here in a long time! Came with my family. I can say the food was delicious. The service was okay! It was a little bit busy. Wait time was a bit long. When the food came in was hot and delicious. It’s a medium sized place. I will go back to try other items from the menu.

We ordered our food & it came out really quick. I didn’t realize that my cheese enchiladas came with cheese & meat sauce. The waiter was so accommodating & changed my order since I do not eat meat. The food was delicious & the staff was so friendly. Everyone made a happy plate. This place is a hidden gem. Oh & try the sopapillas. Delicious!

Not quite 5 stars from me. I’ve ate here at 2 decades I suppose. Probably more. The food has always maintained the same taste since the first time I tried it. Flautas, enchiladas, tacos and the combo dinners are the same taste. The bean soup is good, my bean soup is BETTER. Then there’s the employees. About three of those dudes have been there at least since high school and the waiter I know was babysat by one of my friends, lol. While I never been sick or nauseous from the slew of visits dining here. The 4 stars go to the attitude of the staff. They can be cool and somedays they act like they don’t want to be there. They are bad at taking phone orders, cut the music down guys!!!! When they do answer phones on busy days, they act like your not on the phone when clearly they hear you and reply “huh”. However, despite that one flaw I still like the food and enjoy the same Ole taste of their tex-mex dinners. Lemme tell you, from growing up here there’s not many original restaurants left and it gives me pleasure this place is still around even with the attitude I get from them occasionally. Today I got tacos and it’s darn good. I remember when some of those dinners used to $5-6 dollars, lol.

Love this place. My favorite spot to visit when I’m in town. No frills, just good food. Excellent service, and consistent food is what they serve here. I ordered my usual (2c) with the bean soup substituted for the refried beans. Some of the best salsa around but to the lightweights, is spicy good. These guys are quick I was in and out in 40 minutes.

It’s a small, quaint place that hasn’t changed since I was a kid coming with my mom. The fajita combo nachos or the beef enchiladas plate is my go to. Hands down the best and hottest salsa and chips in Texas. I highly recommend this place. My mom passed away last year and until she passed, we always met at Herrera’s Oak Cliff for lunch. I carry the tradition with my own family.

Waiter was not very friendly was in a hurry to take our order as tho the place was busy. Tried to talk to him and he just brushed us off we were asking what was the most popular item, it being our first time there.. and not getting a refill on our drinks was unacceptable. We will not be returning were also upset about not having the option NOT to tip him. That should be our decision and he did not deserve a tip..

Love the food! Quick service, great portions, satisfying and reasonably priced. I love the bean soup they give you while you wait. The fajita plates could really be for two people. I brought some home today and now have my dinner too.

If you are looking for some excellent authentic Mexican food… look no further than Herrera’s! Great staff of guys and amazing tasting food. Don’t be shy and try the complimentary bean soup and make sure you have your drink close by when you dive off into their salsa. If that isn’t hot enough for you they do have hotter upon request.
