This place was a letdown, definitely not worth how much we paid for ($26 per person).
The biggest issue was the food quality. The beef arrived was frozen and so brittle, broken into pieces. The rest of the meat, when cooked, was so tough and chewy. A lot of the side items also seemed to be freezer-burned, which gave them a distinct, unpleasant taste.
The service was pretty bad too. Their iPad ordering system is unreliable; multiple items we ordered never arrived, and we had to repeatedly ask the staff for updates. When food did show up, the servers couldn’t clearly identify what they were serving. We received different answers every time we asked for clarification on a dish, which is a bit concerning from a food safety and service standpoint.
There are much better hot pot restaurants elsewhere.

Pretty good hotpot! I liked the spicy broth, but if you order it buckle up cause it’s pretty spicy. Find the Szechuan peppercorns and chew them up so your mouth goes numb. It’s my fav. Chicken, shrimp and crab were really good. The service was amazing!

One of my favorite go to places to dine in alone and i usually go for lunch on a weekday since it isnt crowded and for it being $20 isnt that bad compared to most places reaching $30-40 a person. This hits the mark with a lot of things such as, well seasoned broth, easy to use ordering system, decent selection of meats, veggies, noodles etc, and the staff are very kind. The only thing that is a bit inconvenient is the sauce bar. Sometimes it gets crowded there if you need to pass by or wait there and also you would have to wait for the sauces to refill. But other than that, its all great, I tried every soup base and i highly recommend the tomato and spicy broth. Both well seasoned and has a nice umami to it. Also is not as heavy when the broth simmers down.

Staff are attentive and offered good option. I came in during the lunch time but staff also shared that I could order dinner option which include other kinds of meat, which what I did at the end. You could also get 2 different Boths at the same time!

Best hot pot in town! I’m addicted, I make everyone I know go with me and they all end up falling in love with this place, the mushroom broth is my favorite and they are so quick brining out the food. The most friendly staff you will ever meet and happy to answer any questions you have on the menu.

Hero Hot Pot is the best Hot Pot place I’ve had in SLC. And I’ve tried a lot. The meat and vegetables are always on point. The broth is always the highest of quality. The staff work hard and are always very friendly. Whenever I’m asked to recommend a place to eat, it’s always a top choice. I’ve been here about 50 times since they opened in 2020 and will continue to come here. THIS IS MY FAVORITE HOT POT IN ALL OF UTAH. Keep up the great work and thanks for all you do

I love their hotpot! I have been going here for years because they used to be located in Orem. I was heartbroken when I saw the Orem place was gone but when I found out they were re-opening in South Salt Lake, I RAN. I LOVE THEM. So yummy so yummy. Please feed me more. Great bang for your buck and their spring rolls are so warm and crispy. Bokchoy so juicy, ricecakes so chewy and the sauce they have against the wall I mix garlic with soy sauce and chilli oil and sesame paste and some sesami oil and its SOOO goooooooood. Their beef is so yummy too. Guys I love this place. Please go there.

We visited Hero Hotpot as first time hot pot eaters and I think we are now hooked! The staff was all very pleasant and attentive and our food was delivered SO QUICKLY. Our waitress explained how the unlimited ordering worked on the tablet and took great care of us. The all-you-can-eat meal was very much worth the price. I definitely recommend.
