This restaurant brought back childhood memories when it came to meeting Veterans, they would have their morning coffee and talk. We paid for 2 veterans breakfast while we was there and thank them for their service. I like the fact that they dont season the food (to each their own). The service was really good to be a fast pace diner. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and the person taking the dishes off the table was singing to us. He made everything fun. I really like diners where you can walk in and feel welcome. This is definitely the place and I really appreciate that.

Food is typical comfort diner food. I always ask them to make my hash browns extra crispy. This time I went for this review, I ordered from the lunch menu – T-bone steak with hash browns, fried eggs.
Server gave us a free waffle that was I guess cooked by mistake.

This place is as classic as a diner could get. These people know what they’re doing. I’ve been there throughout the years and if you love a good American breakfast this is your next stop. The theming is fun and consistent throughout the diner.

Ate a quick Sunday Breakfast with my kiddo. Food was good, fast, fresh, and a fantastic price! he had French toast , eggs and bacon with a hot chocolate. I had a pancake, sausage patties, eggs and a coffee. It was under $20 before tip!! Would recommend and we will be going again. Oh yes and our waitress was great!!! (Lovely petite blonde gal).

We love Herbies and go regularly. We typically get a big full breakfast, eggs, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, hash browns, whole wheat toast, and pancakes. It’s big enought for two. The turkey pattie sausage is the best we’ve ever had. Sometimes we get the pattie melt which is excellent, especially on rye. Their service is excellent, the staffed very friendly. .

Nice local diner in Greensboro, right on busy battleground. Always rode past this spot but haven’t bothered to stop by until tonight. I love diner food as it’s simple and cheap for a quick bite to eat.
You do grab a menu and seat yourself. Our waitress was right over to provide us water. We ordered a slice of chocolate cake, pancakes, a patty melt, and double bacon cheese burger. Did not get a chance to try my partner’s meal or the slice of cake but he had no complaints. My patty melt didn’t taste as I expected, would say it lacked flavor but it wasn’t bad at all. I am use to a thinner piece of beef though— it was on the thicker side.
I enjoyed our meal and agreed we’ll be back.

I’ve been coming here for a little over 3 months now… And I’ve traveled all of the United States and this has got to be one of my favorites not only because there’s Herbie the Love bug on the side of the building which I absolutely love! But the employees there are incredibly friendly and incredibly fun to be around with. I’ve never felt more welcomed at a mom-and-pop restaurant before honestly! That’s why this place deserves five stars! And trust me I’ve been to many different restaurants!
