This little place is tucked out of the way, kind of a hole in the wall off a busy road, but I’m glad the gentleman with the sign came to work that day. While it’s not my favorite snowcone, it’s still quite good and has good value for my dollar.
I tried blackberry with butter cake to see if I could make a kind of cobbler flavor, and for the most part it was pretty successful. I don’t think it would be possible with cheap syrups and they aren’t overly sugary that it feels like I drank down some candy.
It is sweet, don’t get me wrong, but if you’re already looking for a snowcone then you should have a pretty good idea of what you’re getting into. Richer than a popscicle, but not sweeter, if that makes any sense.
It’s right off the route I take home from work and have visited a few times now. The gentleman that works there is very nice and easy to talk to while he works. He’s not stingy with the flavors either and that’s always nice. Definitely worth a visit.
