The interior was stunning – beautifully decorated, cozy, upscale and chic. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. Nicolette was great.
The food was all good, not great. The one thing that stood out was the ahi tuna cones. High grade tuna and wasabi cream in a crunchy cone. Delicious bite! The shaved filet mignon sandwich was cooked medium rare, very tender. The au jus was not the best, it was almost sweet? The fries were incredible though, we got a side of garlic aioli with it. Add the garlic aioli to the sandwich = SO GOOD! The chicken pot pie had a nice flaky crust, it was missing a little bit of flavor but still tasty.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience. We wouldn’t come back to do a sit down dinner again, but for a drink and some light bites at the bar, it’s perfect.
It’s in a great spot, they’re always seems to be parking, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. Only downside is that’s a little bit pricey in my opinion, but hey that’s probably on par for the area.
We specifically booked Saturday night dinner for the featuring of the Tavern Beef WELLINGTON, and they didn’t have it! Nice written on the weekend menu especially for a special holiday night but Not available!!!!
First worst note, then for my daughter a pasta orecchiette ( in puglia where it was created you pay roughly 5€ for kilogram but here with some butter and 0.03% truffle oil and Parmesan ( not parmigiano reggiano aged) was 25$ 3 oz of pasta for kid( really you do business like this?), then they charged 33$ for a hotdog wrapped and cheese ( really?? Where is the upgrade for quality here? ) not even a Kobe olive fed Hotdog from Miyagi or Osaka. They forgot to give us additional items requested and a wine rose was not even up to temperature. Then last best part, the check come already with a 20% Tips added on, like is this a Obligation to pay? And for a kids pasta, Pig in blanket and the most funny LOBSTER RISOTTO 65$ per plate was a slap in the face. I’m Italian and the only thing of risotto was the name spelled correctly then it was heavy cream cheese corn, no bisque to cook the rice, barley half tail of lobster and 2 shitake split on top and you called RISOTTO? Without mentioning that probably didn’t even use a Carnaroli Rice or vialone nano for the risotto.
350$ for this unpleasant, unprofessional and insignificant Check to pay!
I would highly recommend if you want a lobster roll, chicken sandwich, corn off the cobb, delicious caesar salad (likely my favorite), or amazing pancakes. Yum!
