We went on the evening of the 23th. It wasn’t very crowded, but since there were only one or two servers, we still waited a short while to be seated. We were seated in a corner near the entrance, so it was a bit hard for the staff to notice us.
Most of the dishes here lean on the spicy side. We asked for very, very, very mild, but the food still had a slight kick. The shredded potato dish was a bit thick-cut and on the sour side. The fried noodles were decent, and the stir-fried beef was fine as well. Thankfully, the stir-fried pork didn’t have any unpleasant pork smell. My friend mentioned that it didn’t have as much “wok hei” as the first time she tried it.

Visited at 6 PM on a weekday when the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The ambiance was pleasant and welcoming, and the staff were friendly throughout our meal. The egg rolls made a great start — crisp and flavorful. The Kung Pao chicken was perfectly spicy and easily the best dish of the evening. Both the shrimp and chicken combo fried rice and the chow mein noodles were tasty and satisfying. Overall, a nice spot for a relaxed and delicious meal.

**SPICY**

If you cant eat spicy, this is not the place for you.

Overall in terms of taste is very close to Hunan local taste. Been around North America, this is one of the top 3 place if you want Hunan style type of spicy and food. Highly recommended.

Service was good, food was exceptionally good. Especially after a long flight.

Highly recommend the noodle in the middle of the picture.

At this food quality, I expect it to cost $9.99, per dish. Service is good but food is mediocre. Im shocked that this place got such good reviews. Everything in this picture was 3/10 to 6/10.

Had Steamed rice, Kung Pao chicken, Curry chicken, Vegetable chow mein, Vegetable fried rice. The portions are generous, the food is tasty, and the prices are affordable.

Great space south of Market to grab authentic spicy Chinese food. From the egg rolls and meat pies, hot and sour soup, or special al la carte dishes, it is just special. Try the spicy eggplant or tofu for sure, add either a beef or shrimp plate too!

We were here for lunch and had the Thursday specials- chicken and rice plate and the sour beef rice plate. Service was below average. Our server forgot to bring us our water. The food tasted fresh and excellent, and is recommended.

Well, I didn’t fully understand what we ordered, but it is a very good place if you like real Chinese food.

My group had 2 Chinese people and they were delighted with the food and the place.

Be careful with ordering spicy food, as it might be TOO spicy! Try to order some sauce on the side and try it.

Good for vegetarians as well, as there are many options

The best Chinese restaurant ever!!!
I have been their royal customer for 5 years.
Food is always perfectly cooked with wok hei – that smoky, charred aroma you only get from high-heat stir-frying.

My all time favorite dishes are:
– Pickled Chili w. Chicken Gizzard
– Fried intestine w. Spicy Sauce
– Sauteed Bullfrog w. Pickled Pepper
– Diana’s Special-Meat Pie
– Chow Mein – first time knowing chow mein could be an amazing dish…
even simple dishes are better than regular restaurants because of the wok hei!!!

Trust me! If you love spicy, this is the restaurant you must try!!

Pro tips: If you don’t eat spicy often, ask for Mild but you won’t regret trying Henry’s Hunan family own restaurant – feel like home!!
Hope you enjoy it..

Went here with my Chinese friend and we had to ask for the special Chinese menu, they gave us the regular one at first. I would say if you’re not too familiar with Chinese food, stick to the English one but we both enjoyed the food here a lot! The food is spicy (how I like it) but I recommend getting the sweet tea with it to combat the spice. Between the 2 of us we had 5 dishes and took home whatever we didn’t finish. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the pork belly
