I never used to like fish & chips… until Henry’s — this place completely changed my mind!
The batter on the fish is absolutely amazing — so light, fluffy, and perfectly crispy. The fish itself was incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and served at the perfect temperature. They had all the condiments available (salt, pepper, tartar sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and malt vinegar), but honestly I didn’t even need any of it because the fish was THAT good.
We also tried the poutine and it was delicious — not overly salty at all, which I really appreciated.
A huge shoutout to our host/waiter Olivia — she was truly the sweetest and most energetic person. She was knowledgeable, patient, and so kind, even while the restaurant was getting busy. She treated every customer with care and equal attention, which was so refreshing to see. She also helped us with a last-minute order change (thankfully before the cooks started it!) and even arranged for the Henry’s platter to be divided since my parents decided to share. That level of service really made our experience special.
The restaurant itself feels very homey, comfy, and classic — you can tell it’s a place that’s truly loved by the community. The washrooms were super clean and looked newly renovated as well.
Whether dining in or taking out, you can really feel how much this place is appreciated by so many customers. My family and I left very happy and we’ll definitely be back again — especially for the haddock!

Been a minute since we been to Henry’s. Called in our as usual. Check pic. 4 piece cod that size now $60. Smaller portions with higher prices. Plus now they spoil you with more batter once you cut open Surprised when arriving that there was No line up and dining had 4 tables in use. At one time dining almost full, line up at the door. Parking still sucks.

This family run restaurant is a hidden gem in the heart of Brampton and has been around since 1984. I love old fashion fish and chip places and there are not too many around anymore!
Their lunch special for Haddock and Chips is such an excellent deal. It’s for $12.49 everyday till 3 pm.
Large piece of Haddock … very meaty and moist with a generous amount of fries. They bring homemade tartare sauce in a bottle to your table plus malt vinegar too.
I also love the little details like ice cold water served in a chilled glass!!
It was so good I got two more orders for take out.
The server Roxanne who’s been working there for 10 years was super friendly and attentive. Simply amazing and sweet!!
I highly recommend you try this place where ever you are in Brampton. So happy I stumbled into this restaurant today!

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The server was very friendly, and the food was delicious. It took about 15 minutes for the food to come out, which was expected since it was 4 pm. The restaurant itself was a bit outdated, but the food easily made up for it.

Visited this on Feb 17th and I’m glad I did. The place reminds me of old school days of fish and chips spots which many of them have now disappeared. But regardless I was glad to stop by here. The lunch specials were at amazing prices and the 2 Girls working there provided fantastic service. Very welcoming and happy faces which is a rare sight to see these days lol.
Food was properly cooked, fresh and authentic. The cod was on point and fresh. Definately recommend this place for that evening or afternoon meal of good ol fish n chips . Ill bring back here next time I’m in brampton.

I had one of the best fish and chips experiences here in Brampton! The fish was perfectly cooked crispy on the outside and soft and flaky on the inside. The fries were golden, fresh, and not too oily. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted fresh.
Their poutine was also amazing the gravy was rich, the cheese curds were fresh, and it all came together perfectly. It was definitely one of the best poutines I’ve had in a long time.

A hidden gem in Brampton!
From the moment we walked in, our waiter Ray made us feel right at home with a friendly smile. Our food came out right on time and honestly looked even better than the pictures on the menu. Everything tasted amazing, and the portions were surprisingly generous—we definitely didn’t leave hungry.

This is the only fish and chips place i like I’ve tried many fish and chip places, but they’re not as fresh as this one. And the service is very nice. The people are very kind and friendly will sure be coming back a lot.
