We came in with a group of 9 towards the end of the evening and the people that were working had such quick service and were very friendly! Food was hot and so good! I am not a big lover of the ‘hot sauce’ but you dont have to get it on your meal! Loved their mac salad and little potatoes! P.S. they have pickles in little side cups by the napkins and that was a welcomed treat!

Recommended by our tour guide at Rochester Institute of Technology. I hope you come hungry! My wife and I both got the “White Hot” plate (Difference between the “Red Hot” and the “White Hot” in the pics below…) My son had the “Chicken Fingers” plate. The white sausage and chilies were great! The home fries and macaroni salad were ok. The beans tasted pretty much like they came from a can. Would like to return to try some of the other stuff on the menu.

The employees are nice, attentive, and helpful answering questions. They give discount if you pay with cash and also offer a first responder discount. This is one our favorite places to get a garbage plate. Their meat sauce has great flavor and a noticeable kick of spice, borderline too hot for my wife, but she eats it just fine. I get the 4 meats Godfather with two cheeseburgers and two chicken tenders. She gets the 3 meats Varsity with two burgers and a white hot, and our older kids get the two cheeseburgers plate. We all get it with home fries, mac salad, onions, and mustard. The dill pickles at the condiment station are excellent and if you like pickles on a hamburger then do yourself a favor and grab a container to put on your plate. If you want more spice they also have red hot sauce squeeze bottle for you. We enjoy having a couple of free help yourself water stations.

I’ve tried other plates at other restaurants and was not impressed. This is the place for a plate, every ingredient was delicious and the combination of flavors were amazing. Some complain about price but the amount of food in the plate makes it a good value

We were up for parent weekend at RIT and my stepson told us that garbage plates are a thing in Rochester, so we decided to try the plates at Henrietta Hots. We didn’t know exactly what to expect, and all 3 of us got different meats and sides to try it out. I got a burger with fries, Mac and cheese, and their house sauce, my husband got sausage and steak with macaroni salad, hash browns, mushrooms, and house sauce, and my step son got pulled pork with Mac and cheese, fries, and house sauce. Maybe I should have tried the macaroni salad, but I’m not really a fan of macaroni salad, which is why I did the Mac and cheese, but the macaroni and cheese was sort of bland and tasteless… it didn’t add anything at all to the dish. The rest was pretty tasty and was a ton of food, none of us finished it. The house sauce was kind of spicy and not what I was expecting but was good. I’d go back and try a different combo next time we’re up visiting.

Amazing spot with great food. We traveled far thanks to Empire Plate and it was worth the drive. My husband loves garbage plates and he was not disappointed. If garbage plates aren’t your thing they have wraps, sandwiches, burgers, and an array of appetizers to satisfy your tastebuds. The prices are reasonable too!

The after dive bar location to go. Good hot food and classic Rochester G-Plates. Large menu to pick from.
Always check their hours as things alway change. A plate and a soda plus tip costs about $22. But honestly, it made 3 meals for me.
They use to offer bread with, but I failed to get any. Cost ya a ⭐..
Would return again but as everything else the prices keep going up. Works do their best to make sure your taken care of.

The food is excellent. However, service is lacking. All the employees are nice, but when ordering online, it’s a dice roll if you’ll actually get what you ordered. I get from here weekly and the past 5 times in a row (!!), they have messed up the same simple order with only one item (a Cheeseburger plate). It’s good when they get it right, but boy, is that rare. I even called ahead of time once to ensure it would be correct and it was still messed up.
