Crazy cool little spot among all the crazy cool little spots. A diamond in the crown jewel of Georgia– Athens. In the walkable part of downtown. Live music I couldn’t believe I was hearing for free, then come to find out one of the musicians is also one of the owners. Reasonably- priced well-made true cocktails ( I say reasonably priced coming from in comparison Atlanta and Miami). Good drink specials, excellent service, chill non- pretentious crowd, spacious patio, in an area where you’re more likely to find parking. Highly recommend. Hilarious and up-to-date social media posts– definitely follow on FB or Instagram.

We go to Hendershot’s fairly regularly, as we live nearby. It’s an Athens institution! The coffee is always tasty, the service friendly, and the food is good. The Hendo burrito is not to be missed. Plus, you can get a little something from the bar any time of day; a definite plus. Their evening performances range from music to comedy to drag and I’ve never been disappointed by a show. Intimate spot for a concert, but lots of room to spread out during the day, indoors or out, if you want to meet with a friend, get some work done, or enjoy some solitude. Great music always playing on the overhead. It always feels special.

Hendershot’s is a great unique place and experience to drop in for delicious coffee and a fabulous selection of beverages. The atmosphere and entertainment is beyond expectations. The staff is personable, knowledgeable, and professional!!! Hendershot’s carries a new and delicious Athletic Brewing Company non-alcoholic IPA brew with less than .5 alcohol called “Free Wave” “Hazy IPA. It’s an up and coming trend. Do we not see it!!! It is a spacious cafe, has plenty of tables and chairs, has a variety of coffee, tea, hot, and cold drink options, I am not sure about their dessert, because I went there during the winter break late at night. The crew was nice, we tried Cuban de leche and apocalypse coffee drinks, the apocalypse drink has a hint of spicy cinnamon, it is strange but good. One thing be aware of is their hours, just check with the crew what time they close, because Google hours might be different.

Lack of work ethic and communication. Arrived at 2:25 with the doors locked, and the sign flipped to “closed”. Google showed this establishment open until 3PM while the sign on the door read open UNTIL 2:30. Aside from the inconsistency of store hours, closing early is frustrating for paying customers – especially from out of town. We purposely picked Hendershot’s bc of their menu, reviews and vibe. Closing early – even by a few mins – gives off a lazy vibe. We just wanted a quick coffee before hitting the road. What an unnecessary bummer.

The drinks are delicious! Josh is very helpful, nice, and patient with us when we were being indecisive on what we wanted. The staff helped recommend drinks and explained what flavors were in specialty drinks. This place has a lot of space and has a very cozy atmosphere

Very cool and comfortable. The coffee drinks we got were fantastic, but the ice tea wasn’t very good. Friendly staff and really interesting local magazines and coffee table books to look at while you wait.

Love this music venue! I saw Bichos Vivos here and had a great time. Fun crowd, welcoming atmosphere. It was nice to have the option of alcohol or a full coffee bar. My latte was great and the staff friendly and helpful. I will be back for coffee in the morning as well as a night out for live music.
