The food was good, the service was excellent. It’s a small place, bit It’s big in heart. We got the burgers, country fried steak, chili cheese fries and the pony shoe sandwich. We loved them all. The food and service are usually pretty good. Today might have been an off day as well as last Sunday, when we ate there. The service was ok the waitress was nice but no one came around to top off our coffee like they usually do. My and my sister’s bacon was burnt and so were the hash browns. We have eaten here many times and hopefully today was just an off day for them.

It’s my favorite stop for lunch when traveling to visit family in Southern IL. This old diner has been around since the 70’s and kinda looks it, too. Don’t let that scare you. The food is great and most of it seems home-cooked. We stopped on Sunday and the place was packed with mostly locals. We had to wait about 10 minutes but they serve quickly. (That was the first time we ever had to wait) My wife and I ordered the pot roast special and it was fantastic. It might be the best roast I’ve ever eaten as it wasn’t dry at all. It was cheap, too. Their pies are great but we didn’t have any room left in our tummies this time. I can’t rate this restaurant any higher for what it is, an old-school diner.

Great place quick service friendly atmosphere! I would give a 10 out of 10. My husband and I ordered Country Boys and really enjoyed them. They even add cheese for us! They also had a variety of flavored creamers.

Wow. One of the best down home country breakfasts ever. Both of my grandmas would be impressed. The wait staff was Midwest warm and friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and rustic. The breakfast fare was delicious. The only thing missing was a bowl of grits for this southern guy.

We had great service, and the food tasted great. Portions were good except the half order of buiscuits and gravy. My only suggestion would be don’t cut your biscuit in half when serving them because it looks like your serving half of a half biscuit and therefore I would not recommend ordering this because I have never seen a smaller biscuit. Overall the staff was fantastic and the food was great.

What an adorable place! Food was great! Everyone had something different and we all cleaned our plates. The staff were on it. Quick, cheerful, friendly, and attentive. The kid’s menu is a super great deal. All prices were great actually. Saving it to return on my trip back through.

Went at 2:10 pm and when my family and me got to the door, was told they were closed. Even though sign and website says 3:00 pm. Was going to order pancakes for 4 people that’s it. Pancakes. Tried giving it another chance. Went at 1:45 on Halloween. Was told they are closed. And close at 2.
