This is a cool little dive bar we visited while touring Pitt’s campus. I was told it is the place to go for students, so we had to check it out. It’s a nice old school bar with a nice sized bar with booths and tables for groups. We grabbed some pub grub which hit the spot on a hot Saturday afternoon. Their beer list was also good with some nice local craft brews on tap. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out pretty quickly. Definitely a good spot to visit while at Pitt to get the local flavor!

This place used to be a pretty solid option (One of many at the time) When I was in undergrad at Pitt (c/o 2019). Took my partner and her best friend here last weekend, and the service was extremely slow (We observed one waitress for the entire restaurant, so we don’t blame her for how she handled the otherwise full restaurant). What confused us most was the bill, Specifically the gratuity charge, but we didn’t mind that and even tipped a little extra. Our issue was that the total came out to $21 And they ended up charging the card $37. We’ve Tried calling and emailing, but haven’t been able to get a hold of them, so they may have walked away having stolen $16 from us. Rest in peace To another Oakland legend, But if this is how it is now, they deserve everything that’s coming to them.

Drinks aren’t as cheap as I thought from the reviews. Got charged $10 for an IPA. Make sure you ask the price before you order—there are no prices for drinks on the menu. Servers were cold. Waited 20 minutes for the food. Food and drinks were okay. Overall a mediocre experience.

I won’t be returning after this experience. From the moment we sat down, the service felt rude and dismissive. It was busy, which I understand as a former waitress, but that doesn’t excuse how we were treated. When we asked for an appetizer menu, the server just pointed to the wall instead of politely explaining that it was posted there. And it was only a drink menu not even food. When I asked what was in my blue drink because I might have allergies, the bartender wasn’t helpful, and the server responded with, “Well why would you order something if you don’t know what’s in it and you have allergies?” which felt incredibly rude and unnecessary. She also said they had multiple blue pitchers but didn’t put any effort to explain them. Overall, the server (Mrs. B) came across as very impatient and unkind. The only pleasant interaction we had was with the dish boy—he was the nicest person there, and if I had cash on me, I would have given him the $20 tip for a $10 order.

Puts auto gratuity on tabs without telling you, for parties under the 6 person/$100 limit. Changes the theme of weekly nights without prior notice so you’re stuck at horror movie facts trivia night when you thought you would be at music trivia. Doesn’t give you water if you end up stuck in the back room for a meal—make you get up and get water from a suspicious looking jug, no idea if it’s clean or not, in comedically small cups. Rude server. Disappointing.

I really like this place. Recently discovered. Its a college friendly place for sure. With some pretty good food and drinks. Thursday nights they have a long island special pictured below with the gummy worms for $4!!! They are so good. But be careful they can be dangerous also ! They are definitely worth the money and always have daily specials for an IPA for 2.75 daily which my boyfriend likes. Definitely worth the stop by to check them out

Food and atmosphere is fine enough but the service at this place is comically bad. The last two times I went here it was borderline impossible to get the waitress to get you a glass of water. We had to ask her to give us the check and she seemed inconvenienced. Not coming back here until she stops working here, which is unfortunate because I like a place that serves pitchers.

Stopped here for lunch and the deals were great! Everything for the lunch timeframe on Saturday was $5 except the options in red font. Service was great! The grilled cheese with avocado and spinach was delicious (you have the choice of fries or tater tots)!!

Asked for separate checks and they gave a separate check per item rather than person, and attached a 20% gratuity to each item additionally. Previously their gratuity system was for large parties, so I’m unsure of why a party of 3 is being charged a separate 20% for each individual item we ordered.

Went here for the first time. Had the french fries with cheese and bacon, the cajun chicken pasta and the chicken tenders. The cajun pasta was amazing for a bar food. And the chicken and fries was good and tender. And also got a drink called cathy on acid. Omg it was amazing as well with the gummy worms !
