I needed a break from my family’s festivities today and ended up at Hello Shawarma. I’m so glad they were open on this American holiday! The staff was incredibly helpful, kind, and energetic from the moment I walked in.
I ordered the falafel pita meal with baklava, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. Don’t leave without trying the mango milk and cheese fries—you won’t regret it. I could see them preparing the food, and they clearly take cleanliness and food safety seriously. The kitchen and prep area were spotless, which is top-tier in my book.
Shoutout to Amar (the chef) and Jose who prepared my meal—absolutely delicious and exactly what I needed. The front-of-house team, Esmeralda and Sandra, were warm and welcoming, and brought so much “Jolly” and positive energy to the experience. One of the clerks even spoke well of her manager, Adnan, which is always reassuring to hear; it says a lot when staff respect their leadership.

I really wanted to like this place(its closeby) but honestly this was the most mediocre shawarma I’ve had. I wasn’t even expecting anything crazy just regular pita, decent chicken, and a good amount of garlic sauce
A few issues that stood out:
– The bread was whole wheat (?) which was a weird choice for shawarma and not what I expected. Traditional thin pita would’ve been much better.
– The chicken tastes really dry and isn’t juicy. Like, literally not juicy at all. I just wanted some slightly juicy chicken with a bit of flavor.
– The sandwich itself was dry throughout(i requested garlic sauce in it).
– The garlic sauce by itself is okay(I got a few on the side), but for some reason it just doesn’t work well with the sandwich, it’s like I’m eating two completely different things that don’t complement each other.
– Through Uber Eats I ended up spending $23, and the portion size was disappointingly small (I included a pic of half the shawarma with my AirPods for size reference).
I hate leaving a negative review, but for that price point, the quality just wasn’t there. This is really disappointing. I wish restaurants cared more about the quality they’re putting out, especially at premium prices. I’d consider coming back if they addressed these issues, but for now, I can’t recommend it

Very good and flavorful sandwich! I had the Bashka with a side of Falafel. Bashka was absolutely amazing, maybe could have used a bit more meat, but the ingredients used were very flavorful and seasoned well. The falafel I had was a bit overcooked/burnt so it was not my favorite, I will give it another try and update my review.
Overall a great sandwich and also the sauces were AMAZING! Great customer service with the cashier checking in with customers. Higher priced items so be prepared to pay $15-25 for your meal. I will visit again

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Food came out quick and the staff was FANTASTIC!! The cashier Esmeralda had such a wonderful and whole hearted spirit as well as the cook Jose and victor that prepared my food fast and efficiently I will DEFINITELY be coming back again also thanks to Anna for keeping everything clean and tidy and having a wonderful smile on her face!! This food was literally so magnificent and so clean coming from someone who is Egyptian and never buys Arab food out. Everything about this was beautiful from start to finish. The service was so lovely. Everyone was so polite. The restaurant itself was so clean. You could literally eat off of the floor. The service was fast. I ordered online before coming inside. And the food was hot. Lastly, I don’t know why no one has talked about the packaging. The packaging is so beautiful and high quality. I’m sorry, but that stuff really makes a difference when you go into a restaurant and get takeout because it shows that attention to extra detail and the food is so supported in those boxes, especially and stays hot. The portion was amazing and the food quality tasted so clean. I wanted to go back inside and get another bowl because we live far away. I will definitely be back as soon as possible. That garlic sauce! So delighted to finally have a truly authentic shawarma in Naperville, Bolingbrook area. This is probably the best we’ve had outside of Bridgeview area. Delicious, juicy from the inside, crispy on the out. Humus and falafel were also great. Definitely recommended. Enjoy!
