Hello Bistro has the best ingredient options to build your own salad. The toppings and dressing choices are the perfect finishing touch! I love how customizable everything is, including being able to choose if you want your dressing on the side or on the salad (and even the option to choose light, medium, or heavy when selecting the dressing on the salad). ALICIA made me the best salad! She got every ingredient correct and dressed my salad “heavy” as requested. It’s always refreshing, tasty, and filling – a great fast food option when you’re looking for something lighter and healthier!

I was looking for a nice, fresh salad to enjoy for lunch outside today. I ordered the Greek Salad with roasted chicken as my protein. It was amazing. I was originally skeptical about spending $12 on a salad. This portion size and quality is what Panera should strive for. Not a huge fan of the kiosk…slow to navigate and not very user friendly.

I’ve been to hello bistro before but I never had their salads. I was nervous I wasn’t going to like them but I was not disappointed. There are plenty of options. You can select from somewhere around 7 premade salads or you can build your own. I made my own and it was delicious. They definitely give you a lot. The price is a little high in my opinion and I wish they would add calories to their menus so you can see what you’re consuming.

I frequent Hello Bistro almost weekly at the USC location, but have only been to the Monroeville location a couple of times. Jordan B did an exceptional job working behind the counter by himself and was very polite and courteous and even made great suggestions for my salad. I was very pleased.

On August 31, 2024, after completing an intense workout, my guest and I decided to refuel at Hello Bistro, located at 4100 William Penn Hwy, Monroeville, PA 15146. What we anticipated to be a quick and efficient visit turned into a drawn-out ordeal.
Ordering Experience: The restaurant has shifted to a kiosk-only ordering system, which proved to be more of a hindrance than a convenience. With only two kiosks available, navigating the menu was time-consuming, taking us a frustrating 15 minutes to place our order. The system is not user-friendly and lacks the simplicity of the previous walk-up ordering process. Additionally, many items visible in the display behind the counter were either missing from the kiosk menu or were difficult to locate due to poor interface design.
Wait Time & Service: Despite there being only about 12 other customers in the restaurant, our order (a chicken wrap with salmon, crumb blue cheese, dressing, and a mixed salad with salmon and chicken) took an excessive 30 minutes to prepare. The delay was baffling given the relatively low customer count at the time.
Cleanliness & Hygiene: While we waited, we were forced to sit at a dirty table that had clearly not been cleaned in a while. To make matters worse, the restaurant had a noticeable issue with spotted lanternflies—some dead, others flying around, particularly near the windows and main floor. My guest also reported that the women’s restroom was out of soap, raising concerns about hygiene, especially considering the “All employees must wash their hands…” sign in the restroom.
The Food: When our meal finally arrived, the food was a pleasant surprise amidst the otherwise disappointing experience. The wrap and salad were both flavorful and delicious. However, the wrap had structural issues, with the contents falling apart as soon as it was picked up, requiring me to request a bowl and eat it as a salad.
Overall: While the food at Hello Bistro remains tasty, the overall experience was marred by poor service, unclean conditions, and a cumbersome ordering process. I would cautiously recommend this location, but improvements are desperately needed in cleanliness and customer service, particularly reconsidering the effectiveness of the kiosk ordering system. Returning to in-person ordering could streamline the process and reduce wait times.

Something changed about them. The workers must not care or they hired someone new that doesn’t. I door dashed a salad and got ice burg lettuce. 90% of the lettuce and other veggies were spoiled and soggy with out any dressing on it. They forgot half of my ingredients and gave me 1 little ranch cup for a fairly large salad when I had requested 3 of them. I used to come in here on my lunch when I worked in monroeville and it was usually very fresh but I was very dissatisfied and disappointed with them this time around.

I placed an order for delivery. Apple pearl salmon salad with 2 cups of poppy dressing on the side. 30 minutes later my salad was delivered without the special dressing. I called the restaurant they offered another soda on my next visit. Disregard the fact that I can’t eat my $24 salad. The young lady told me to contact grubhub and hung up. The grub hub person didnt answer. So I called back because im pissed and hungry. I spoke to the supervisor. Everyone gets paid from grubhub to the person they hung up for not doing their job.

The salad is AMAZING However, I’m sorry but the service was very lacking. When I walked in I was the only customer and there were three employees just standing behind the counter not doing anything but literally looking at the floor, and not one of them acknowledged me. I could go on about the service but I’ll just say that I would have given them a 5 bc the salad was amazing; however, I had to take two stars off for the service bc they weren’t busy or understaffed. I will visit again to see if it improves bc they salad was amazing and I never use amazing and salad in the same sentence
