We started with the Saganaki, which came out sizzling and golden, perfectly melty and rich. The Keftedes were tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice, and the spicy feta dip had the perfect creamy-kick balance that kept us reaching for more pita. The Village Salad was fresh and vibrant – the perfect way to balance the meal.
For entrées, the Lamb Chops were beautifully grilled, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, while the Lavraki (branzino) was light, flaky, and absolutely delicious. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, showcasing the kind of authentic Greek flavors you can tell come from a family who loves what they do.
This restaurant is located on South End, one of the hottest areas in Charlotte. It is centrally located with other business around within walking distance. There are paid and affordable street parking spots nearby.
The menu offers a good variety of options. In addition to the regular menu, they offer a lunch menu with two combo options. That is exactly what I went for today. I got the Spicy Dip & Pita and the Chicken Pita. I also got an Arold Palmer to drink. Everything was delicious! I mean, it was really delicious.
The price was pretty affordable, the service was professional and friendly, all common areas, including the restrooms, were clean.
Overall, 100% recommended and can’t wait to come back!
As a person of Greek heritage, I will say all the food was superb. Dolmades, sauteed veggies, Greek salad, eggplant dip, zesty orange cake. All tasted fresh and homemade. The only item that was nowhere near my mom”s Greek cooking was lemon.potatoes. My mom baked them while roasting lamb and they were moist. buttery and lemoney. Ghe ones they serbed sere almost like a fried potato wedge. Our waiter Zach went above and beyond even creating a hot chocolate drink for me because they no longer had hot chocolate on the menu. He antocipated pir needs even before we had a cjanve tp ask. We also loved the thick glass bottles on the table w cool water.no need for ice cubes. The place was decorated in seablue mediteranean colors and I loved how the bar counter was underlit with blue light. Simple but pleasing ambiance. Check it out.
Bonus: We come from concord and have two younger kids, so eating in south end is typically annoying with parking, but this one had free parking just behind the restaurant, and was a few steps from the rail trail.
Family run, opened in 2023 coming up on 3 year anniversary!
P.S – I didn’t get ice cream with my baklava but I would recommend it. The baklava is really really sweet, and I think the ice cream would help cut through that taste
P.S.S – according to my receipt, my bartender’s name was Erin, and she was great!
