Absolutely Amazing! From the atmosphere to the attentive Staff this restaurant is awesome! We did a door dash pick up order the first night and had to come and have lunch the next day. I cannot say enough good about this place and my only regret is we found this place on our fourth yearly trip instead of the first! We will definitely be hitting this place every time we come to Asheville!! Thanks for being Amazing!!

This place was great! I would give it five stars for food if it was all vegan. But four stars is a lot coming from me from a place that is an entirely vegan! So excellent work. I’m glad we got there when we did because soon thereafter it was packed! The server Tiffany was fantastic.

Felt like having a noodle soup. Stopped in and had the Niku udon noodle soup with braised beef. It was absolutely delicious and went well with the sake. The location is slightly small but is worth the wait if any. This is a great spot for noodles , soups, hot pots, ramen , sashimi and sushi.

Had an amazing time here for my birthday dinner. Food was impeccable and the fish tasted SO fresh. This is the best Chicken Katsu I have ever had. Our waitress was also very sweet and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Here from Florida went on a vacation getaway with my wife and some friends. Drove 2 hours from Sevierville to Asheville. We looked around for places to eat decided on this place. Was the best decision of my life. The food was absolutely without a doubt the best ramen, sushi, and gyoza I’ve ever had in my life. Our waiter Stone was an absolute legend and had phenomenal service. I wish that I lived here so I could eat here at least 3 times a week. Thank you guys for your service and hospitality!! 100000% will be back!!

I went with my wife and step-daughter, and right away it had that neighborhood spot feeling where everybody seems to know it’s good. The menu has a little bit of everything including ramen, udon, sushi, sashimi, bento boxes, and some really solid specials.

We started with the fried octopus balls, which were crisp on the outside and amazing inside. My wife ordered ramen, which came out steaming hot and full of flavor. My stepdaughter also tried the lemon salmon sushi roll, which had a nice balance. I went for one of their giant rolls, and a half order of a noodle soup.

What I really like about this place is that you don’t need to overthink the menu. The staff know what’s worth trying, and the specials are always worth asking about. It feels casual and comfortable, but the food has that extra touch that makes it stand out from the usual spots around town.

Service is amazing. Between the quality of the dishes, the relaxed atmosphere, and the way the staff guide you toward good choices, it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back. This is a locals spot. Definitely will return

Ok sushi. Ramen needs some work. I got it with belly fat but the ramen tasted like pork fat oil. No depth to the broth. Not worth the wait when there’s better spots.

very cozy place! food was satisfying, but i do feel that some of the dishes we tried could have been more developed flavor wise. we tried the tofu and vegetable tempura, sweetie pie roll, zucchini steam bun, and salmon steam bun. the only item that fully hit the mark flavor wise, in my opinion, was the sweetie pie roll. i’ll try Heiwa again one day.

Almond butter in my sushi roll? Yes please. Waitstaff are sweet. Owner is kind. Expect a wait during peak dinnertime. Lil cramped but feels like a stepping into a comforting 90’s movie where the cute couple goes on their first date at the best, hidden restaurant in town. Outdoor seating in summer is lovely.

Adding to my post that Sukiyaki with Spicy Garlic broth is delicious!
What a gem of a place!! Took us soooo long to try this place as it was always busy. We were attracted by some of the dishes that are less commonly found in the usual sushi places in the US. We tried Sukiyaki and Tempura shrimp and vegetables and they were both delicious. And service is amazing here, our server Stone is friendly, helpful and authentic. The kind of service we associate with Asheville but is missing in many places. Place is small but with outdoor seating which will be nice on good weather days. This is going to be one of our go-tos from now on!
