Heian Handroll Sushi absolutely blew me away. I didn’t try the hand rolls, but the sushi pieces and sashimi were insanely fresh and full of flavor. Every bite tasted clean and high-quality, the kind of freshness you can immediately tell comes from great sourcing and careful preparation.
The cuts of fish were generous, the texture was perfect, and everything was beautifully presented. It’s easily some of the best sushi and sashimi I’ve had in a long time.
I’ll definitely be going back highly recommended!

Have been here a couple times and ordered a few more times through Uber Eats. Each time the food has been delicious and the service very friendly. We recently did their tasting menu ($80 pp) and it was well worth the price for the flavour and freshness. Will keep coming back!

Wow! Heian is a great place to try authentic Japanese dishes. Starting with Jihye, who was amazing helping me choose. The food, the service and atmosphere were perfect. I tried a course A and all the chef’s selections are great. You can also order A La Carte. 10/10!

Chef Kayden (?) was cool. He suggested some of his favorites to us. The various nigiri were excellent. The salmon hand roll and appetizers were great as well. Ask about the items not on the menu.
We also tried Osaka specialty roll, but I didn’t care much for it. I’ll stick to nigiri and sashimi like usual next time.
To the lady that came in and ordered a California Roll… Try the torched salmon nigiri you were watching me eat.

I recently dined at Heian Handroll Sushi bar and was very impressed with the overall experience. The miso soup was piping hot and full of flavor, the perfect way to start the meal. The edamame was tasty, though nothing out of the ordinary.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the fresh and delicious fish in the sushi rolls. Each piece was expertly crafted and bursting with flavor.
The only downside of the evening was that it was a bit slow, but given that it was a Sunday night, I can understand.
Overall, I would highly recommend Heian Handroll Sushi bar to any sushi lover. With their year and a half in business, it’s clear that they know what they’re doing. Four out of five stars from me!

10/10 experience from start to finish! My first comment when we sat down, was “wow, everything looks and smells so fresh”. And the food definitely lived up to that standard. I loved the community seating vibe, with the seats facing the chefs. Each server was extremely attentive, and every staff member was friendly and service-oriented. I felt like we had been there before simply from the ambience and service alone, despite being my first time dining with them. Every menu recommendation was excellent, and the sake that was suggested was fantastic.
My favorites were the crab and salmon hand rolls, and the Chutoro sushi. I really enjoyed the piece on the far right of our stair flight, but I can’t remember what it was exactly (sad). The main attraction was definitely the sushi stairs.
I love that this establishment has brought such an authentic and interpersonal place to McKinney. It is definitely worth the drive if you aren’t local, but if you live close by you need to check them out.

The food was delicious. I ordered the 5 set with another salmon roll as my extra choice. Overall, the experience was good, but it did take a while to get menus and actually get served with a reservation. Once we ordered the handrolls were coming at a steady pace, and overall were delicious.
Although the wait was long, the food was worth the wait.
