The lady, not sure of her name, and I am pretty sure she owns the place – ole gurl runs the place like the navy. It’s fantastic. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The bartender serving me, Nick, was also phenomenal. His recs were amazing, too. My favorite place to eat in Montgomery County.

This is an amazing Japanese restaurant, probably the best in the area. It’s a well rounded restaurant, offering lots of dishes beyond sushi and ramen. We got the takoyaki, chicken okayodon, and tonkotsu ramen. They were all very delicious and authentic, with the only minor issue being the ramen broth was a bit too salty. Hefun is so good. It’s right in downtown Blacksburg and it never disappoints. The wait time is always quick, the service is fantastic, and every bartender and server is great and attentive. I’ve had alot of their stuff, the steak and chicken hibachi, and I’m originally from New York, so I’ve had my fair share of good food, but nothing has ever hit like Hefun’s hibachi. The flavors are solid, the portions are generous, and it’s consistently cooked perfectly every time. Their drinks are also super unique and perfect before a night out or for keeping things rolling after. Overall, the vibe is great, the food is fire, service, and vibe is all great which is why I go there all the time.

Absolutely delicious! Beautiful presentation. The sashimi was so fresh and the ginger dressing in the salad was amazing. The hibachi steak was juicy and tender, the shrimp was delicious, the miso soup was good too, the sweet tea was perfectly sweet. Cannot say enough good things about Hefun, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a family trip to the Virginia Tech University and stopped by at this restaurant for dinner. The seating for 6 people was quickly assembled and our order was taken in a timely fashion.
We ordered Tonkatsu Ramen which has a rich, delicious broth with various toppings such as Chashu, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts. We also ordered hibachi steak and scallops and the serving was generous and Proteins well flavored. In addition, we ordered a sashimi sampler and again the portion was great.
The udon was delicious as well.

Absolutely LOVE the Pho featured as a February special this month! The broth was flavorful and delicious. On top of that, the service and atmosphere are amazing. Hefun is one of my new favorite spots!

Amazing experience!!! The service was really good and our food was fast to be served. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with boba, which was really good it wasn’t to milky and you could really taste the tea. I also ordered a Miso soup for appetizer, a sweet potato tempura roll and a Philadelphia roll. The soup was very flavorful and the rolls where really good and where also a good quantity for a really good price. Me and my friendd ordered a Hefun Thai Volcano Icy to share which was so good and very refreshing for the summer time. Overall a great place with amazing service!!!

I cannot compliment this place enough! Particularly, the management and staff are super respectful and caring. They do not hesitate to help you and check in during your meal often enough to be polite but not overwhelming. And when my delivery driver accidentally forgot to drop off my drink, they made me a new one. This place has great food and a great restaurant experience!

This place is SO. DARN. GOOD. The freshest sushi, the most flavorful broths. The cocktails are DELICIOUS and nuanced, they have both craft cocktail and “dive bar” style. Sapporo ON DRAFT. The tea is also delicious, the hot ginger tea is so yummy and spicy. They are generous with sashimi portions and service is attentive and prompt. The vibes are cozy as well. 10/10
