The first time I went was on a Wednesday evening. It was pretty busy and there was a sign that said ‘Please wait to be seated’. The people who walked in seconds before me were greeted and taken to their seats. Then the same gentleman comes to me, and instead of greeting and seating me, he says “What can I do for you?”
Shouldn’t it be obvious? I’m waiting to be seated like everyone before me that you seated. ♂️
But I told him that I would like to dine. And he stood there looked at me for a second. Then he told me that I could sit at one of those tables over there, as opposed to taking me to my seat like I watched him do everyone else in my time there. No one who walked in after me was treated that way either, all of them were told welcome and taken to their seats.
I assumed it was a one off, and I visited again about 2 month later because I wanted to explore other things I saw on the menu more.
However, I got THE EXACT same experience:
There were two groups ahead of me when I walked in waiting to be seated. Both of them were greeted and seated. Then after being looked at from across the room a few times, the gentleman finally came to me and asked me what did I want. I told him I wanted to sit and eat. Again I was told to sit over off to the side. The rest of the time that I sat and ate my meal everyone who walked in after me was both greeted and taken to a table.
In full disclosure, the food was good, but unfortunately the service was not.
Go where you are appreciated, not where you are tolerated.
The restaurant was packed, families coming in, vibrant atmosphere and very popular with the Hispanic folk!
I ordered mine to go and I didn’t wait too long, was relatively fast – but not fast-food fast.
I will be returning with my whole crew Yar!!!
