The al pastor taco was my favorite, but the carne asada was a close second. Their red salsa compliments their tacos so well and if you want something more mild, the green salsa is also really good. The michelada and elotes were straightforward and tasty. Overall, the food is high quality and it shows! A bonus were the homemade tortillas. Definitely recommend.

I had one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had here. I asked for a spicy version of the cucumber margarita and it was delicious. On top of that, the guacamole and queen were both great too. I grew up in Oak Park and hadn’t been here until now – I’m bummed I’ve been missing out!

Best taco spot in Oak Park. We went in because the place looked intriguing and we ordered tacos but the one thing I wish I could be drinking on a daily is that Margarita de Strawberry and Pineapple. Did wish they were bigger like “real” margaritas are usually served, but It’s SO GOOOOOOD!

Stopped in unexpectedly during a tornado warning and storm. So happy we did! Yummy tacos, quick and friendly service. Good drinks, the Hecho Margaritas were just what we needed. Server had good recommendations (get the pastor tacos!). Pescado and shrimp were also good. Will definitely be coming back.

The food is incredible. However. The rudest women ever work here. They opened my soda before my to go order was ready and walked off as I was asking them why they did it. They’ll argue with you about the details of the contents of your order instead of trying to come up with an understanding to make it better. An significant attitude adjustment is needed. You do realize you work in customer service, no????

Best fish tacos I’ve had outside of Southern California! The strawberry & pineapple margaritas were very tasty as well. They do seem a tad short staffed but that is understandable these days, the waitress was awesome despite being crazy busy.

I’m not that difficult to please when it comes to food. The tacos were just okay. I ordered a steak taco and the meat had decent flavor but did not seem like “asada.” The meat tasted like roast beef almost. Also ordered a shrimp taco and it was nothing special. Personally, the food is not great. I’ve had better. 2 stars- one for the fast service and one for getting my order correct. 🙂

Absolute excellence! The menu is well-priced and the food is top-tier. Our waitress was very nice and the flavor combinations were well thought out and balanced (sweet grilled pineapple, smooth avocado, spicy and tangy hibiscus flower all on a homemade tortilla!) I will most definitely be back and can’t wait to see what else they have to offer!

First time at Hecho en Oak Park and stooped in for their highly recommended margaritas… Space feels like a small cantina with a handful of tables and bar area. Margaritas are priced accordingly with four flavors to choose from as well as two specialty margaritas. We ordered strawberry and pineapple, cucumber and a mezcalucha. They are tasty and refreshing. Mezcalucha smokey and strong. Caught a Mexican flan (Natilla) for dessert, definitely for the sweet tooth in all. Place was good, seemed a bit short staffed in a Monday.
