My son and I ate there for the 1st time, absolutely amazing food and Bella our waitress was outstanding. She was professional and answered all the questions I had about the food. She was a completely delightful individual. We will be coming to dine at Heartland Diner again. Delicious food.

It was my first time to The Heartland Diner. Everyone was friendly. The Food was delicious! I had the broiled haddock with coleslaw and mashed potatoes and beef gravy. As a senior, the senior meal included ice cream! I would definitely eat here again!

Stopped by this little gem of a diner on a whim, and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming—classic diner charm with a modern touch.
Food was really good, I ordered tuna melt and my husband ordered grilled cheese with ham.
Our server was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. She genuinely seemed happy to be there. It made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. Highly recommended

Heartland Diner is a hidden gem in Gettysburg that feels like a warm hug and a hearty meal all in one. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted like an old friend. The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious—exactly what you want from a small-town diner.
I came in for breakfast and it was everything I hoped for and more. I had the breakfast skillet, and it was absolutely packed with flavor—crispy potatoes, perfectly cooked eggs, and just the right amount of cheese and sausage. The coffee was strong and fresh, and the toast was buttery perfection. Portions were generous, and I left full and happy.
The service was quick, friendly, and genuinely caring. It’s clear this place is run with pride and heart. Whether you’re a local or visiting the battlefields, Heartland Diner is a must-stop for real food and real hospitality. Five stars all the way!

If you eat a few times in Gettysburg without trying this place you’re missing out. Awesome food and just come as you are type of place. Also as proof of quality they have the ever elusive mixed fruit jelly that everyone’s wife wants.

Our first and last time coming here. The anticipation for trying the food was high but boy were we let down. We went for dinner and got 2 different steak dinners and then fried fish. The soup of the day “stuffed pepper” it was beyond flavorless and the rice was so mushy just moving the spoon around it just shredded. Then the steaks we got were the wrong temperatures. The rare came out well done and then redone to an inedible raw. The medium well was the same way rare on the verge of raw. The fried fish was soggy on the bottom and the fries were undercooked and cold. I’d avoid this place for dinner. Sadly the service wasn’t the best to help situation.

Very nice “mom & pop” diner. Good comfort food and LARGE servings. Very large menu with variety. Senior menu includes ice cream or pudding with your meal. They have lots 8f deserts. L I oked homemade. Diner located a block out of Gettysburg’s historic district, or it may be in it. Very neat and clean dining area and restrooms. Plenty of seating. Could handle a bus tour if reservation made in advance. Pleasant and helpful staff with smiles and good eye contact. We enjoyed our meal and time there.
